In a Youtube aviation enthusiast video ecosystem filled with robo-voiced, AI generated slop, it's so refreshing to see entertaining and informative content voiced by a real human and inflected with equal parts humor and real aviation knowledge. Thank you!

Every time a plane manufacturer mentions "air taxi", run in the other direction!

The world needs more small radial powered planes.

Airplanes suffer from a need for form to follow function, I’m one of those who believes if somethings function is perfectly suited to the situation then I think it’s beautiful.

The Eagle X was a quickie. It was built to familiarise the producers with composite processes, not as a prototype of the eagle. I was operating my 172 at The Oaks private airstrip and the producers set up there for a while. Just as a casual observer it seemed that there were more salesmen than engineers.

It's nice to see humans can still do quality work like this. Well done.

Fifty years or so I carved a Prospector model from a single block of balsa with a separate piece for the wing. Designed to fly on a tether rather than control lines the overpowered gas model took off, rose overhead and arced into the pavement. I'm glad to know the real Prospector had greater success

The Spratt 107 is truly a flying boat!

The Meta Sokol landing gear setup is genius. I'm surprised more manufacturers haven't tried that configuration. That vertical stabilizer just SCREAMS "Eastern European" though. If it flew any faster, I bet it would need a dorsal fin like the one added to the P-51D, to reinforce the rear of the fuselage.

The eagle sheep herder is almost always owned by pilots wearing tall boots.

As a kid, I worked for the Government Aircraft Factory test pilot (Vic Walton) who operated a Nomad (N22B) on floats in Sydney. He also operated two Beavers. Designed by GAF, it was sized to fit standard pallets. Failures were from flutter induced fatigue, particularly on the stretched models.
