I have seen one of them jumped the width of the road I was driving on. Black colour and definitely a lot longer than 6 feet nose to tail tip. It was in November 1986. In the west country.
My wife and I lived in Kent (near Sevenoaks) and were travelling home at about 1:30am down a country lane when we saw a boxy shaped creature. It was a sandy/rusty colour and was tall (taller than a fox) and seemed to have long back legs. With hindsight we are both pretty certain it was a Lynx.
I've seen one of those big cats in Cornwall. It was walking up the road and I registered it as a dog at first. It was jet black and I could see it's shoulder rolling as it walked and had a long black tail Then it jumped straight over a 4 foot hedge and disappeared. I wish I registered what I was looking at to get a photo coz it was only 10 metres Infront of us and would have put this debate to bed.
I’ve seen a panther with my own two eyes in the 90’s, no doubt, no mistake so I KNOW at least one was out there back then but some of these ‘sightings’ are laughable. If people these days were filming cats like I saw then there would be almost zero doubt what it is. I question the suggestion that their are breeding populations, they would be known about and documented
7,49 Ocelot tracks are around 2 x 2 inches. Ocelots can take on an al black coat. I have questions about the claws. Retractable claws. Dogs and cheetahs can't retract there claws.
Your black panther acts alot like ours here in the states. You could have Jaguars. If so you must understand the legend of that cat in order to truely understand it.
