Yamazaki Shops, convenience stores operated by Yamazaki Baking, can often be found nestled deep in the mountains or on the outskirts of town. They offer a diverse selection of products, including not only bread and rice balls but also homemade prepared foods and local products, and their opening hours vary from store to store, making them completely different from major convenience stores. This allows them to operate in areas where nighttime traffic is scarce and 24-hour staffing is difficult, making them an important part of the local infrastructure.
