The Devil: Uses psychological warfare to force people to commit suicide
97% of people: Commit Suicide
3% of people: That’s crazy, I don’t remember asking

“i’m legitimately thinking about making a black title card as to not scare any children”

he did not make a black title card and scared some children

Just now realizing some of these alternates probably don't look human because they've taken over human bodies that have shot themselves in the face....actually horrifying.

I once saw a screenshot of a tweet that said "The scariest thing I ever heard is when someone pointed out that the existence of the uncanny valley implies that at one point there was an evolutionary reason to be afraid of something that looked human but wasn't."

This series literally brings out primal fears we didn't even know existed.

Ah yes, watching a child's reaction to normal stuff like cats and baloons and "white people". Honestly best line.

Pretty sure literally anything gets 2000% scarier with VHS-effect.

The "uh oh, bad decision Mark" thing scares me more than most things in the series, its such a casual response to such an uncomfortable situation

You know it’s gonna be good when you get two content warnings before you can even watch the video💀

“Unwanted information may cause people to kill themselves”

Alternate: “bogos binted”

Person: ☠️

I love how comically dumb this looks but genuinely unsettling it is. Imagine if any actual company would ever try enough to make something this well crafted.

Ever since I started The Mandela Catalogue, my childhood fear of the dark and of my closet has come back. Human faces with tampered features really are something

Nice to know Wendigoon is canonically scared by Jerma's sus face

I was so scared shitless, and then I saw the intruder. And I just rememberred.

"Nice opinion, one small issue. I am inside your home."

I love that the most effective way to combat these “doppelgängers” is to not be afraid and square up with the bastard.

i have never felt more betrayed than hearing "alright so we've gone through it pat yourself on the back you were very brave and i'm proud of you" and finally looking up at the screen believing myself to be safe only to be shown creepy jesus and i cannot believe you could do this to me

“Unwanted information may cause people to kill themselves”

Intruder: Human hair is used in bread
Person: What?
Intruder: fades out of existence

I liked that you said "Why wouldn't the military or batman get involved" like implying that the last hope for dealing with these beings that replace humans is just batman
