He was having sound issues and kept trying to fix them with the sound guy, constantly adjusting his drum kit. They had just finished a huge North American tour, so he must’ve been tired asf. If you watch closely you can see his eyes - and how often he plays with his eyes closed. He's unbelievable. I love how chill he is and how he's vibing to the songs.

It's mind blowing. He creates so much room, makes it look like he is playing in slow mo.... I CANT COMPREHEND IT.

Sooooo.... I started listening to Sleep Token last year. I could not believe the sounds I was hearing and was immediately enthralled. Fast forward to this summer and I decided to start learning drums in my 50s because of this amazing drummer. Found a drum teacher where I live, showed him a clip of II and told him I want to play like this. The look on his face was quite humorous. He told me "OK, but just so you know, it's best to temper expectations. This level is probably not realistic at your age, but we can certainly try to get you there."

II and Vessel (and III and IV) care so much about the music they put out. The difference it makes really is incredible

I'm not a drummer, but drums in music is something that's always stuck out to me. II makes me feel things when I hear his drumming, and I'm constantly impressed by what he does. I'm glad there's drummers like you out there shining light on his skills, so I can understand the terminology for the things that stick out to me in his play style. Thanks for posting this!

He’s actually playing a stock DW kit here, albeit a top end one. I know his regular  kit has some really interesting custom wood combinations.

What's truly admirable is that every stroke is deliberate and purposeful. His precise and clever use of the double pedal is magnificent, and overall, his velocity control is superb. And that sound!

This drum show was able to genuinely show, how ii had such masterful control over his body. His ability to confidently move each limb individually, WHILE having sound issues, is just insane.

All these songs were on the setlist they just got done touring with. So awesome to see it up close since he was up on his little mountain during the shows.

The Sleep Token and II hate is so forced. They're so mad that a small band who was just playing in a small bar in front of a few hundred people just under 3 years ago is now selling out full stadium tours. They proved everyone wrong, best fanbase in the world🫶

He always plays with such a captivating blend of conviction, control and power. I'm a pretty rookie drummer (just over a year in) and have less than a fingernail worth of his ability, but he's very inspiring!

The space he leaves when the zoomies are going in the beginning is so important.
