Marvin Harrison Jr. entered the NFL as one of the most universally praised receiver prospects ever, but Steve Smith Sr. refused to crown him and ranked Malik Nabers first. Two seasons later, Marvin has been outproduced by multiple receivers from his class, while Nabers has nearly matched his career yardage in 10 fewer games. That makes Steve’s unpopular evaluation look increasingly correct. But because Marvin Harrison Sr. didn’t become elite until Year 4, the real question isn’t whether Steve was right so far—it’s whether Junior still deserves enough time to prove him wrong.
