Had an incredible time meeting some of the A/E Enthusiast page members. I knew most members through the Facebook “A/E Enthusiast” page.
But now I’ve met them face to face, it was a joy to meet all the members.

As I'm watching, Steve......... My mind is thinking "I wonder how many of Janets stitches or Dawns heel counters has Steve replaced???"

It's nice to see how much human involvement there is in the manufacturing process.

Wow! Amazing how the assembly works. I could almost smell the leather. Only problem is "no hammer time" 😆 lol. Thanks for sharing this with us Steve and hapoy you got some time away.

Steve, it was a pleasure meeting you and it was truly an unforgettable weekend! I have a whole new appreciation for what Allen Edmonds does and for the workers that put so much effort in crafting these incredible shoes.

What a humble and beautiful company. Wish them hundreds of more years of success. To the dedicated men and women putting their hearts and hands to make these shoes, wishing them all the best and thanks for their magic. Before you criticize quality issues for these shoes please watch this video.

Damn it Steve. As you were traveling north on I-43 in Milwaukee you were within a mile of our house. Next time you are visiting Allen Edmonds and you feel the need for a little hammer time please stop by. I have a large assortment of hammers and I'm sure I can find a piece of leather!! Great video!

Steve this was great!! Thanks so much for bringing us along on your trip. This was a great insight into how shoes are made in a production environment. And, thanks to your generous sharing of your skills and knowledge, I think most of us actually knew what the factory guys were showing us. Awesome good sir! Cheers from Texas!

It looks like AE put together a great day for all of you who visited. This provided some good insights into how the shoes are constructed at the factory. I'm sure that were you able to capture some video during a typical day of production, the outcome would be much more impressive given the speed that they must operate at. I also think it's great that the craftspeople there at the factory were able to get a sense of the high regard that many have for their work. Thanks very much for sharing — good stuff!
