Damián Andrade, a successful businessman, arrives unexpectedly at his office with a bouquet of flowers and discovers his wife, Raquel Mendoza, kissing Bruno Sarmiento, the janitor. Just as he's about to confront them, Gabriela Jaramillo, a humble accounting employee, stops him: she's overheard them planning to take everything from him with a power of attorney he's supposed to sign on Friday. Together, they stage a fake bankruptcy to expose them, and Raquel reveals her true colors by confessing that she didn't marry him to be poor. Desperate, the lovers try to empty the safe, but only find a photo of their infidelity, while a hidden camera records them blaming each other and confessing everything. Damián proves to them that, married under a prenuptial agreement, Raquel was never entitled to anything, and Bruno abandons her in the street. Alone and penniless, Raquel begs again, but Damián shuts the door on her and opens his home to Gaby, the only one who cared for him without asking for anything in return.
