My friend loukoumades is an ancient Greek dessert and they make for the winners of olympic games in Olympia

Here is your answer: Greece has an excellent established cuisine for thousands of years. Turks just came later on as oppressors over Greek territories.

I absolutely bloody ❤LOVE❤ Greece! One of my most loved and treasured countries. The climate, the people, the atmosphere, the history, the lifestyle, the nightlife and the absolutely insanely delicious cuisine and food. I Love Greece 🇬🇷 🫶❤from Down Under 🇦🇺

Next time, try Galaktoboureko and Bougatsa, both are yummy 😄

I am glad you are enjoying your trip to my country, Greece, but you should really try other traditional dishes as well, and not just the ones you showed, which are essentially street food. If you visit restaurants, you will find hundreds of fantastic traditional dishes that you will never forget in your lifetime. Greek cuisine is vast, has great variety, and is the top cuisine in the entire world. More and more tourists who visit Greece admit this. Take care, and you are always welcome in Greece.

Loukoumades was the reward given to the winners of the first Olympic Games in Ancient Greece. Guess where it originates

This is Greek street food. Try some classic dishes like moussaka, pastitsio, soutzoukakia, giouvetsi, etc.
Glad you enjoyed my country! ❤️

What upsets me as a Greek that has visited 52 European capitals out of 58 plus other countries such as Japan, China, USA etc is the fact that nearly everywhere you visit outside of Greece you see "Greek gyros and Greek kebab (souvlaki).
Yes they are tasty but they are street and easy food.
Greek cuisine is huge and very tasty based of course on extra virgin olive oil, the best vegetables on earth (Mediterranean) and very old and well thought methods of cooking meat and fish. Not to forget a vast variety of vegetarian and vegan recipes. Γιεα μας (yheea mas)🍷🍺
