Great work, from a former motor/ marine trimmer back in 1980s and 90s. This gives an idea to people how much work goes into something that looks simple to cover to them. I used to get people coming in late Friday afternoon telling me "it'll only take you 15 minutes mate" ๐๐
Amazing stuff, Andy. Once again making it clear that where there's a right way and a wrong way to do your various bits, you take the time to apply all of your skills and techniques to doing things the right way. I'm happy not to have loads of seams in it. I love a bit of stitching, but there's a time and a place and I think you totally did this the right way. It looks ace.
Amazing job again Andy. I'm amazed how forgiving leather can be if you know what you are doing, particularly the colour finish, it stands up to all that steaming, pulling and stretching, and as far as I'm aware, maybe you can correct me, but it's actually paint.
Thank you so much! I was looking for information on how to reupholster a Socata TB, and your video was exactly what I needed since it featured the same airplane. How much would it cost to reupholster the entire aircraft?
I got confidence in covering my Datsun Z plastics now I can see your methods make sense. I have not done it yet but I was worried about one panel behind the passenger that covers the evap canister. But I will have to get a steamer for sure...that seems to be the tool. I also got landau top cement that is supposed to be the strongest. So I am inspired I built the car entirely I can do this " now I have seen the way you do it. So thank you for this useful lesson !
