As an adult I realize now just how weird, codependent, and unrealistic this teen relationship is lol I’ll always love the show for nostalgic reasons, but they’re a hot mess.

Cory and Eric might not have been super close at this point, but even in his dream Cory couldn't bring himself to directly kill him. He had to imagine him jumping on his own.

So true Cory gave up a lot of things girls he never met places he never got to go an life he will never have, he chose Topanga which was a great thing. I miss shows like these that had real life problems

This is the beauty of boy meets world that so many shows in this day and age lack and displays why it was so ahead of its time. Having Lauren, a girl Cory had a genuine connection with and could’ve been just as happy with outside of Topanga, and have her be the physical manifestation of everything Cory was giving up, a feeling all of us in life go through wondering about the life we could’ve had or the places we could have gone as a result, the known vs. the unknown. There’s no right decision when it come to situations like this, but can we live with that decision is what makes or breaks us.

Pretty good dream sequence, there's enough ambiguity to let the audience muse over whether or not Cory was making the right decisions.

Man this hits way harder when you’re married and hit your 30’s. Something you always think about, regardless of how happy you are, but it doesn’t matter in the end. There are infinite paths to happiness. Just live.

Lauren commits suicide in this scene; she is the only one that Cory does not kill, though perhaps he did not need to because given her words, he was already doing so figuratively.

This scene right here is the representation of the new way i look at life now, i always liked this scene when i first saw it. This represents not only the girl you want to marry but all things in life. Like when you give up bad friends and dating to have enough free time to actually study, to give up all negative thoughts, to give up trying to fit in so all things that i actually want are attracted to me, give up on the adventure, to be independent and draw people who are just themselves and real, that way i will get someone like Shawn and Topanga.
