It’s actually sick that you made it to f4

Step 1 : be rich

Just imagine how many really skilled drivers never even get seen because of the money barrier. I bet we'd have new champions across the board if not for that.

the short version of this is money, you cant get anywhere without money, so many talented people out there who never get the chance

Some places in the world have amazing support for rental karting that there’s almost no point going into owner karting unless you want to become a real race car driver

My local track is $60 PER 10 MINUTES rental. I am getting a kart and building it myself! $360 an hour for OPEN PRACTICE is fucking WILD

What Ive learnt from this video:

I am way to broke for go karting and will never do it

i drive in Belgium in the rental karts. I recently joined the Formula karting races from Flanders en the Netherlands. BUt sad enough we don't have money for a owner kart

i got 16 dollars and a coin how the hell am i supposed to get into karting now-

I went to Daytona Milton Keynes for the first time yesterday, really reminded me of how fun karting is since I haven't done it in so long. Hopefully will be able to make it a more regular thing, shame it's so expensive though.

From what you have said and from what Ex-F1 drivers have also mentioned is that the drivers that get all the way to the F1 paddock are the ones who never grew tall, weighed more than 65kg's and never ran out of money thanks to the cash flow of their wealthy parents / business tax writes off's ecetera. Somewhere in the world there is someone walking around with more raw talent than a Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher or who ever your favorite F1 Champion is and never ever got to realise there ability.  I doubt Jack Doohan would not be were he is if his father was not who he is.

Indoor karting locally and with KTips community help the BIKC. About £40ish a month is a good starter budget for hobby karting

I started karting when i was 7 jears old in the Netherlands. My father then bought a childen's kart with a 160cc honda engine with 9 hp. With this kart iparticipated in 6 club competitons with this kart. Now i am 12 jears old and my father bought a tillotson t4 Junior kart for me with 18 hp last winter. I might switch to iame x30 or rotax in a few years.

One thing you should mention: it's very different for every country. For me, I'm in Canada, and I go-kart in a rental karting league called Canadian Mini Indy in Ontario. There are different leagues across Canada; just search your local area, and it's pretty inexpensive and definitely an upgrade from the indoor karting tracks like K1 Speed. If you get a podium in the championship, you are given a scholarship to enter owner's karting thanks to Birel Art sponsoring Canadian Mini Indy. It's about $7000-$13000 depending on the gear you already have and how much you are willing to spend. You will race in the LO206 (4-stroke karting), which is a great starting point and super fun! More G forces, higher speed and more competition! You can also enter by buying your own kart and just getting a membership. Even though it is much more expensive than rentals, it's a great experience, and I'm going into it next year! Hope this helps all my Canadian friends! 🍁🇨🇦

My Parents wont even let me drive 2 sesions per month

They just opened K1 circut in Southern California. Winchester ca. Same company that does indoor. This is their first outdoor track. They have Electric go karts that can reach 80 mph. There are several licenses you must buy in order to work your way up to their pro license. I think its fair, they charge you $105 us dollars for 3 races that are on average 8 min each. You must do 30 races to be able to purchase a pro license to unlock the full potenial of the karts. The also offer practice days if you have your own kart. To get all the licenses and to purchase 30 races you are close to 2k. I think its worth it for seat time and great fun. I dont have to charge or change tires. just hop in and go

I live in Queens, NY and I have to drive over an hour to any track 😭

Just start by doing practice sessions, as many as you can, when you have enough experience, start joining sprint races. You could also join race academies, which provides you with lots of track time. Once you’ve done loads of races, practice sessions, and progress higher into your race academy, you can become an advanced driver and then you should be ready to join championships.
