There's so much more. They didn't even research if any of the traditional removal methods worked before opening their studios. They straight up didn't know if lasering would work!
this is a less extreme version, but when i was young my mother got bright yellow paint that she was told was guaranteed to fade in a few months, and she got me to go on the roof and asked me to paint "ho ho ho" for christmas. well after the first "ho" i ran out of paint. never mind my mum said, it will fade pretty quick. It was bright yellow for YEARS and was just great being known at school as the person from the "yellow ho house". For a time, it was even visible on google earth. So that made me question how temporary things truly are.
putting aside the fact these tattoos sometimes don’t fade, the concept of these fading tattoos has always baffled me because the tattoo is going to look horrible through the 2-3 year fading process. The tattoo will look bad for much longer than it looks good
do not get a Pinely tattoo, you guys, trust me. I got mine and went out to eat at my favorite restaurant, Pinely Express, and on the walk home I was mauled by a wild Pinely.
that beginning sequence is making me rethink a sleeve of butterflies. i don’t want my last moments to be the sound of a million angry little wings gradually beating me to death
if i wanted temporary tattoos, i wouldn't want them to be injected like the real deal to begin with. the pain and aftercare is still there but it ages 10x. WHY?
Theses don’t make sense because even if it worked as advertised, Best case for these tattoos is it looks good for 2 months and then you have a bad tattoo for 12 more months
The implication that if you get a tattoo, the thing you have tattooed will be what kills you is really funny until I remember my first and currently only tattoo says "gay sex"
I'm kinda just surprised people got these in the first place, not even because they should've doubted the claim it will fade, but because typically if you are committed enough to have a needle taken to your skin and pay hundreds of dollars, you'd want it to be permanent
As someone with real tattoos, I just don’t understand why you’d want a your tattoo to look faded for any amount of time. Also, tattoos are open wounds, they can scar, so even if all the ink disappeared you may still be left with some scarring.
If you do want an actually temporary tattoo, PLEASE get actually temporary tattoos from companies that already sell them! I used temporary tattoos that were basically stickers and gone in a week to plan the placement for my real tattoo! Do not trust these tech start-up folks that think they can improve every artform by adding their proprietary technology without understanding how it works lol
when I was a kid, I thought sharpies were temporary tattoos (yeah idk why either) and ended up drawing all over my face with a thick ass black marker. when I showed up to school the next day, my teacher then pulled me aside and asked if I was being bullied by somebody. I had to explain to her it was an artistic choice and I don't think she believed me
