Hell yes, Baseball stars is the GOAT.

My friends and I talk about one summer where we played multiple season. Somewhere,  there is a note book full of our stats from like 5 seasons over 2 years.

Some incredible things that made this an unbeatable game for you and your friends to play:

You could play seasons, and actually play them out of order, so I could play 10 games of my season, and when my friends came over they could play their first 10 games. So I could be on my 20th game, and even though it was keeping stats, I could skip their games against thr computer and they could play them at a later date.

Another cool thing was the stats had numbers attached to them, like 1 in power was 1hr, 15 was 59hr. (Idk if those were the exact) so when we made rosters,  we could match the skills to actual player stats, like darryl Strawberry was like a 9 in contact and a 13 in power.

Anyways, respect for recognizing the GOAT as the GOAT!

Baseball Simulator 1.000 was so far ahead of its time with the ability to customize rosters and the multiple ballparks which actually play quite differently from one another.

I was getting worried Dusty's wasn't going to be on the list because it's a softball game, it really is super fun to play!

Every Thanksgiving I go visit my cousin.  We still play RBI Baseball 3.  It never gets old.

This channel is crazy. I'm in the age wheelhouse for all this stuff (43) and can remember either renting/buying/borrowing/playing at friends house a lot of this stuff. Most was bad and you just didn't know what was worth your allowance and what wasn't other than back of the box pics or the cover art. But at the end of the day we didn't really know what made the game good/bad/average. We used to pay absolute slop as kids but loved it. I can remember rocking NES Ikari Warriors all the time and having the game bug out in the later stages.

My best friend got to pick TWO NES games for his, I think, 12th birthday. Which is crazy, because that's a $100 birthday present and he was as poor as I was. Anyway, he picked Bad News and Baseball Sim 1.000. I stayed at his mom's house for the weekend and we played those games all Saturday night until the sun came up on Sunday morning. Ah, the memories.

Normally I’d say that Baseball Simulator 1.000 should be number 1, since it’s my personal favorite NES baseball game. But man.. it takes forever for the computer to simulate games…

So take this as you will. When Jaleco came out with Bases Loaded, I bought it with my money from First. Communion. In the box was a card that said, "Help us pick the next name of the second game." "I put Bases Loaded: The Second Season. Now I don't remember if they picked my suggestion or if someone else had the same thing written down. I was seven at the time, so that's all I remember. I do remember getting the Nintendo voucher after they were caught price-fixing games, and I believe I used it towards buying Bases Loaded.

Basewars was my favorite NES baseball game.   Upgrading the robots is always super fun.

Early 90s were a great time to watch baseball on TV. Just about every night of the week, you could turn on ESPN and see a game.

Baseball Simulator 1.000 was indeed awesome and my favourite NES baseball game.  Thanks for this video and the walk down memory lane.

Bases Loaded 2 will always hold a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons. For me, it's number 2 behind Baseball Stars.

No mention of turning on Baseball Stars on your NES and your team is gone due to the flawed memory system of NES.

Bases Loaded was my fav. I remember seeing the tall pitchers and thinking they were some kinda boss pitcher. Great animations. They released a new version in 2016 for PS4. I have some gameplay vids on my channel, totally worth it. I also liked the Little League Baseball game from SNK, really great overall.

I used to love LJN’s MLB Baseball when I was a kid. I’d keep notebooks full of stats. I didn’t know I was playing trash, lol.

You’re doing Base Wars wrong. It was incredibly fun to play with friends.

Baseball Simulator 1.000 is one of the best games ever made. I love it. I waited 38 minutes to see when it was mentioned.
