That was really lovely! I wish you could show the inside of your books, especially your older ones. No need to rush, honey—we enjoy every second of your videos patiently.

Literally my dream collection!! Such beautiful books... Loved the tour! Thanks a lot for this :face-red-heart-shape:

I fully share your love for French literature.
As I promised you, I will continue to read French authors. I managed to buy a beautiful edition of Denis Diderot's "Jacques Fatalist. Rameau's Nephew" - two stories under one cover. This is an authentic translation by Valeryan Pidmygylny. Valeryan Pidmygylny belongs to the so-called "executed revival" - a group of Ukrainian writers, translators, and poets who were shot by the Soviet authorities in the 1930s. The text has been checked against the French original.
I am also currently trying to read Prince Volkonsky's book "Catholicism and the Eastern Tradition". This book was published in Paris in 1933. The prince himself converted from Orthodoxy to Catholicism and in his work shows the truth of Catholicism. This is a unique book. Moreover, it is written in the Old Russian language, which was used before the Bolshevik uprising of 1917.
Just like you, I also read Tolstoy's books and all of Dostoevsky's books.
By the way, I want to correct you: Gogol is not a Russian, but a Ukrainian writer who wrote in Russian. Yes, it may be strange, but such were the realities of life under the Moscow occupation.
Gogol himself wrote about himself that he was a Ukrainian living in Russia. His sympathies were with the Ukrainians and... the Italians. He wrote a lot about this in his letters. You can see this for yourself when you read his stories about Ukraine and compare them with his descriptions of Russia and Russians. He ridicules Russians and Russian systems.
Thank you for the wonderful video!
As always, I received both intellectual and aesthetic pleasure. You are so beautiful!
Say hello to the cats:)

To hear you speaking about your beloved books was so very inspiring ! I too have quite a nice collection, and I know my life I cannot imagine without it.... so many beautiful things in your collection, thank you so much for showing it,  Al

You have a very beautiful collection. I’m looking forward to part 2.

Emmelie, it was a delight to see some of your beautiful books! Gosh, i loved your Hugo collection! Your library is splendid! 💖📚😊

Hello Emmelie!  I hope your trip to London was enjoyable and that you bought lots of books to fill more of your shelf.  Great video!  I really enjoyed the tour of your bookshelf.  It is always fun to look at people's bookshelf and their books.  I wish people in my life would look at mine but they are just not interested.  Alexandre Dumas - The Lion of French Literature.  Love his works as you well know.  I look forward to the continuation of the book shelf tour (and your other Dumas books).  Have a great day!  :)

Thank you for this Emmelie! I do enjoy your bookshelf tours. It's interesting to see other people bookshelves as you can learn a lot about another person's interest this way.
As always - Happy Reading! 🙂📖

The spines of those classics always look so beautiful! Specially when you have a large collection like this, all of them combines look so beautiful. It invites you to get closer and check out the titles I think. 😍

Not just a great book collection but also great editions.

Really love your collection, and yes I want to buy candid because of the cover, sooo beautiful ❤

I rarely read a book twice and my library is eclectic I have most of the classics, I have scifi, fantasay etc. I have books on quantum physics, consciousness, Mushrooms, History, Treason, Law etc. I never give books away if I let people borrow them and they do not come back I go and buy the same book again. I am now a bibliotaph.

Wonderful as always; thank you !! I am about to start the Counte of Monte Cristo. Also, I must get round to reading MiddleMarch at some point. Thanks for your addictive passion for the classics !! x

Beautiful bookshelf for a beautiful lady. Thanks for sharing, I'm also building up my collection.

You have already lived a thousand lives through your books. Inspiring.
But I think the novel "Gone with the wind" is badly missing from that enviable collection of yours.
Waiting for part two.

PS: I have finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo.
I relished each page of those 1243 pages. Thanks so much
for the recommendation.

Hi Emmelie ❤ love seeing your beautiful books and what you read! I have my books catagorized  by author, as it helps me see which books I have.  Looking forward to part 2😊 would love an update on how you are adjusting to your new job at home❤ hope you are having a great week xo

So beautiful I love bookshelf tours!!! ❤❤

I'm enjoying the video and seeing your beautiful library.
I just want to say that, as much as I know you love Hugo,  I think you might enjoy the penguin deluxe classic edition of Les Miserables. I read my copy earlier this year and really fell in love with it. Beautiful cover, great translation, perfect paper and font, and magnificent "floppiness."
Thanks, as always, for your awesome videos! Much love and respect,
-Joel
