Swine is so intense 💀 the actual meaning is quite dark, but the production is so intense lol

"This one (ARTPOP) sounds like a disco party in space"
Yes diva, teleport us to Mars

5:20 it’s a pun. She’s going through the planets, then says URANUS… don’t you know my ass is famous. In my all time top 3 lyrics lol.

This shocked the music industry. Way ahead of it’s time

F*ck pop music, this is Artpop..🔵

I think you’re the only person who understood this album for what it is: an EDM album, seasoned with her artistry and creativity 24:49

Lady Gaga has no competition. When she came onto the scene, every celebrity all of a sudden started to dress crazy because they wanted to outdo her. She is beloved by many fashion designers.

you totally missed the 'Uranus'  - "don't you know my ass is famous" kick :)

This album was EXTREMELY controversial, this was here giant f*** you to pop music industry and its standards of what pop music is supposed to sound like. This about the unification of her artistic expression with her pop music. Before this album she broke her hip while performing for her Born This Way tour, which put her in a very dark, and angry place, where she relied on unhealthy coping mechanisms. During this album her team also dropped her, and she was getting torn to shreds by magazines saying that she had "gotten fat". The song ARTPOP really tells you what this whole album and era was about, which was breaking the pop music mold, and seeing it as blank canvas for musical expression. Pop music is essentially music that has gotten popular or "main stream" so who is to say that I need to look a certain way or that music needs to follow a strict structure in order to be popular and mainstream. Listening to all her albums there is a progression of her experience with fame. The Fame album was based in the excitement of fame, The Fame Monster looked at the negatives of fame and the obsession of acceptance and public image, ARTPOP was a release of that obsession redifining the algorithm for pop artist, Joanne was her album as a reflection of her life during her career and how fame has impacted her personal life, Chromatic was an album of freedom and happiness, emphasizing the priority of those two traits, also not to mention it was released during covid so it was something that everyone needed (most artists postponed album releases during this time too) Mayhem is a return to form album, that really encapsulates all her previous albums, and tells a story about finding the middle of fame and her personal life, the unification of Lady Gaga and Stefani (her real name)

SUCH a good album ! Definitely underrated by the masses and it has sooooo many hits

Now that you’ve done Artpop, you can literally do The Fame+The Fame Monster or Born This Way… or both lol you can’t go wrong  you just did her most polarizing pop album in her discography ahaha LOVE THE REACTION BTW! You’re growing on me 😊

Anecdote: Venus is the first song she ever produced ENTIRELY ON HER OWN. Don't get me wrong she was already part of the production of all her former songs but this one was the first she produced herself alone

I looove the fact that you called artpop
creative and unique so many times, cause that was exactly my reaction the first time i listened to it. artpop really is a work of art. Really enjoyed this reaction man!

This is truly the Phantom Menace of music istfg it took a generation later to come back around to make it more mainstream than it was when it came out

lady gaga will always have one track where she mentions about flicking the bean i love her 😂

I love how in Venus, Gaga’s listing the planets all seriously, and then suddenly hits us with “Uranus — don’t you know my ass is famous?” 😂 Like it’s such a perfect Gaga moment — playful, camp, and iconic all at once. Only she could turn a planetary roll call into a joke about her own butt and make it work.

ARTPOP my favorite album

At the time of Artpop, Katy Perry was her main competition. But as Gaga herself and many of her fans have said, this album was ahead of its time, and we can see its influence in many modern pop stars. Hence at the time it did not do well (other than Applause).
