I got mine today. Got it $100 cheaper because it was a store model. I was still scared though because it was still a lot of money for a vacuum.
But WOW. I vacuumed my whole house, included the furniture, and it was fun!
It was heavier than I expected so I’m glad I didn’t go for the bigger and heavier one.

Very informative video
Thank you

the fact that this has power button instead or press to use is game changer, I guess this is the cheapest model that has a power button right?

What’s the difference between v12 Slim and v12 Slim absolute

I have to add the v12 can be used for a whole house with up to 130 square meters, just use the eco mode. Don’t be worried, the job does the cleaner heads, not the suction power. With that trick u can vacuum the whole house with one charge. I also find the power button the game changer compared to other dyson, it’s the unicorn under them

Please can you tell me what is the curvy attachment for like a tube with a yellow switch on it?????

The Fluffy Laser head you are using is the 1st Generation, and not the Fluffy Optic head, 2nd Generation. The Fluffy Optic head has no button on it.

Warning! No replacement battery for V12 seems to be available.  Once the battery goes out you will have to replace the vacuum.  This battery has been out of stock for at least a year.  Did Dyson do this intentionally?  We just purchased the vacuum but am disgusted because we cannot purchase a spare battery as Dyson recommends.

I own one of these and would NOT recommend it. The motor can get destroyed simply by hoovering up fine dust. Hovering up after working on plaster board did mine in. They seem to have a few other issues as well… you’d expect a better design at this price point but I guess that’s too much to ask for. Meanwhile I’ve got big old Miele which had been going for 10+ years..

This is an absolutely horrible vacuum. Coming from a V8 Animal + that we've had for 10 years.  The V12 Detect Slim was a massive failure out of the box, and I will be returning it to Dyson immediately.  It is completely useless on carpet. We have a microfiber rug that we use to catch cat litter (the type with the little worm-like rug filaments), and this vacuum stops the carpet brush head almost instantly.  I tried every setting possible and could not make it work. The brush head on my old Dyson has always handled it like a pro. We also have a large floor rug with a very short pile (like a Persian-style rug). The roller head does not stop when vacuuming this rug, but it takes probably three times the amount of force to push the vacuum forward as did my old Dyson. It would give you a great shoulder workout when you're young, but just a lot of pain if you're a senior.  The hard floor tool seems to work well, the laser light shows everything. But we need a vacuum that works well for all floor types. This is definitely NOT it. I'm very disappointed in this product. It's almost like it never underwent any real world testing.

How's the battery be honest

Recommend not buying, batteries are faulty.

Don't buy until you read this!!!!!!! I've had this model for a year. My dog is a golden retriever. The golden has long hair that very quickly clogs the small wheels on the brush with the backlight. If you don't disassemble and clean it, the brush may soon be thrown out :(. Someone who can't disassemble and clean it shouldn't buy it!!!!! Not everyone can disassemble it.
