There is a lot of concern about the payload numbers we report in the video. The numbers we give are from the federally-mandated max payload stickers that are affixed to vehicles in the USA. These are the numbers that are accurate per the specific trims we're testing, accounting for accessories and trim changes. Just a safety note...one of my buddies was carrying his spare wheels/tires in his old Range Rover Classic (probably about the same weight as in this video) several years ago; just like this-not secured. He was just going down to his workshop 2 miles from his house. A lady slammed on her brakes in front of him and all those tires nearly killed him and destroyed both front seats, the center of the dash and the windshield. He was really lucky. Please secure your load even when going just a short distance or even a short course like this. Gravity is real!!

Never seen someone so happy and willing to stop in the middle of a slippery obstacle and just lose ALL momentum time and time again quite the same way this dude does.

On the Grenadier, the stock steering stop has a jam nut which if you replace with a pair of SAE washers will improve turning radius by around 6 feet. It is designed like this to protect when overtly articulated on the trail and front locker engaged.

With the Grenadier,
You have to be in low-range and Center diif, then you can engadge rear diff first, then front diff, in that order.
If you take center diff out it will disengage front and rear diff too.

On the slippy hill with the front diff error, you tried engadging the front diff before the rear diff was engadged, this caused the error you mentioned.

You also cant use hill decent control with the front and rear diff engadged, it individually breaks each wheel, so this wouldn't work with front and rear diff engadged.

I picked up my Grenadier three weeks ago and the honeymoon continues. Built like a tank and a pleasure to drive on or off road. I can't wait to drive it on the beach this summer. I owned five Toyota Sequoias prior to my new Fieldmaster, and the most noticabe difference is how much more solid the Ineos feels. The doors close with a resounding thunk! Love it.

Hi Ryan, great review! Good to see some weight in the back of them. Would be great if they were all on the same tyres to level things up but I know that's not as easy as it sounds and would probably require sponsorship of some sort. The Grenadier you have is very cool! Great to hear you enjoyed driving it so much. We love ours! We're actually on a 5 year trip across the world in one now towing a Patriot X3, which we live in. We set off from London in mid-July 2023 with our two young kids and we’re approaching 50000km. At least 70% of our journey has been off-road...

As a resident of an EU country, I had the chance to see the Ineos Grenadier quite early on. Trust me, this car is an absolute tank. Manufactured in France at a former Smart factory, the Grenadier is made by Ineos, a British company, doing everything possible to create a super, super, super solid vehicle. So, if you have the chance, don’t hesitate to get your hands on this dinosaur—cars like this simply aren’t made anymore. And as for the technical side, believe me, the latest-generation BMW engines powering it are incredibly reliable.

If I'm not mistaken, ineos has a software update that permanently disables the speed warning but you need to take it to an approved ineos dealership to be installed. They can't install it over the air.

Some of you issue is you are not driving the defender correctly. You need to keep consistent throttle for the traction control system to do its work. You can't get off the gas as soon as you get wheel spin.

Thank you for the great video. When I worked in East Africa (Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya), we travelled through deserts, swamps, wastelands, muddy roads, and rocky roads. We only used Toyota Lad Cruisers there, and over the years we've never had a major breakdown, always working safely and without incident. I haven't driven the Defender or Grenadier yet, but I've heard they're great. This was helpful. Thank you.

Jim here from Crown Ineos St Pete FL. I am one of the Sales Ambassadors for the Ineos Grenadier. Great Video! Ineos is coming with an update to disable the over speed warning in the near future but for the mean time there is a quick fix. You can go into general settings, select CCI favorites and select ISA (intelligent speed assist) . That will set your FAV button on the bottom control panel. When pressing that it will bring you straight to the over speed warning section on the infotainment screen and simply select it off - a two step process but simple enough. You can also go into the acoustic settings and select the warning sound to be low which won’t be as loud of a click click sound if you forget to turn it off. Hope that helps and gets you to consider putting yourself in the Grenadier! Here to help best I can and feel free to reach out if anyone is interested. I drive a Grenadier in the UK, it does not have 'overspeed warning' nor is it a legal requirement as you stated. To disengage front and rear lockers all you have to do is disengage the centre diff lock and it will automatically take care of the rest.
