I've said it before, but its still amusing to see the contrast between the shorts and these videos. Jon goes from "fuck you, you're a dumbass 🖕🏻" to "so how do you feel? 🥺"
😂

This is exactly the small but  important stuff you'll i need to hear.  Your great at breaking down and contextualizing every nuance.

Cam you got blessed to have a Mentor like our boy.We are all here to learn but hands on live direct.Keep up the good work.Everyone dig deep and go after your dreams.2026 sh*t don’t stop.

That first tattoo you do on skin as an apprentice gets to you, I remember getting hot sweats and the nerves were off the chart. Well done cam

This is how all reviews should be. Don’t just sit and talk at me only telling what I did wrong. Let’s set everything up and practice together. Show me how you want things done.

What a thoughtful and impressive mentorship. The questions he asked and the way he tried to understand what was salient for the apprentice.. we should all have a mentor like him.

The shorts are HILARIOUS. They give me chuckles during my work week. But these videos are very helpful info-tainment.
I’m an addiction counselor, collector of tattoos, & a life-long artist so I’m kinda considering trying to seek an apprenticeship to tattoo so this is a hidden gem among the YouTube wasteland.
Peace ☮️

As an apprentice, I think this video is amazing. Such a great approach to tattooing. Discussing the design together before and then analyzing it after. Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to do that, which makes me respect it even more! I’m a big fan, and the videos about working with a 3RL really help me a lot! Thanks for the great content! Keep going😘greetings from Germany

i love this video. My first mentor was a nightmare and just yelled at me instead of telling me how to improve my work. instead of telling me how to improve, he would just ask my why i didn't do x,y, and z, which 3 months in i obviously wouldn't know everything. I'm at a different shop going into my second year. I love watching your videos, very educational and you take the time to explain why and what you're doing.

I’m an apprentice and I’m finding this series with your apprentice SUUUUUUPER helpful
Thanks for sharing

It’s terrifying for the first year to be honest. Even after 5 years there are still clients that scare the crap out of me , but well done dawg.

Ok, but why is this video so relaxing?  I love them just chatting about art 😅

More of this please! Very helpful and honest

He is a fantastic instructor.

Awww I had the same reaction when doing my first tattoo. Thought I was the only one to get first time tattooing jitters. My hands started shaking hella but once I broke the skin I was ok.

This kind of videos i find very interesting and as myself a beginner this is the kind of stuff that really makes me motivated

that constructive criticism was awesome, I really dug how you made him voice his liked before his dislikes. Like you said its so damn easy to beat up the work, its far harder to say what you like at the end.  That was awesome all the way through.

This concept is such an eye opener- mind blowing. Loved every second of it.

One of the things I miss about unemployable podcast is it was something easy to listen to while driving to and from the shop. This video does that for me, so thanks! The instructional videos are dope but you really have to actually watch them and pay attention
