Despite the physical challenge of polio and the dissuasion of those around him, Father Moses Heo Yeon-gu cultivated innovative pastoral initiatives for the Korean Catholic Church.

From Korea's first rote-learning catechism education to Bible-centered education, and even to mountain schools for youth, Father Heo's footsteps became the pioneering history of modern Korean pastoral ministry.

Even now, 25 years after retiring from active service, Father Heo Yeon-gu continues to write a new history of evangelization at a small seaside chapel.
