Greeting everyone! This has been probably my most involved project of 2023. This is the ICM B-26K Counter Invader in 1/48 scale. I used the kit markings for "Special Kay" and added a ton of scratch building into it! I also made a diorama base for it using mostly 3D printed items. I really love the plane maintenance scenes. There is just something about the look of the models with panels open and exposed inner parts that resonates with me. Love it!

Another fabulous build. Amazing attention to detail. The B-26 looked great and the diorama was just the icing on the cake. Loved every minute of this video!!!

I loved watching this come together.
The 3D decals made a night and day difference in the interior.
Great scratch building too.
Fantastic end result.
The engines look phenomenal. Looks like they might be the reason why the interior was so sparse originally. 😅
It was also a bit curious to see the original nose was too short but equally surprising to see there was a part available to correct that.
So many things to learn from this. 😊🙌

I’ve been scratch building for years as I can’t afford 3D printer and software. Scratch building is an art and your good at it!

Thank you! I have the ICM A-26C in waiting with Bombshell Decals for the 3rd Wing, plus aftermarket stuff to help with building aircraft from Dad's first AF unit in Korea (an older Monogram C-model is in the stash). I'm learning a lot since there's so much new to learn since the early' 70s when I was building aircraft models. Thanks for helping with that learning curve.
