How far can we descend into the ocean?

On this journey, we'll start from the surface and progressively descend to the deepest known place in the oceans.

Along the way, we'll see how light disappears, how pressure increases, and how life manages to survive in increasingly extreme conditions. We'll pass through regions where the Titanic wreckage lies, encounter creatures of the great depths, hydrothermal vents, the Hadal Zone, and some of the largest ocean trenches on the planet.

At the end of our descent, we'll reach the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, almost 11 kilometers below the surface—one of the most extreme and least accessible environments on Earth.

A journey from sunlit waters to a world of darkness, extreme pressure, and places we still know very little about.
