The fan made documentary about her journey from 7 years old to her AGT journey will make you cry.

You will appreciate the work she put in to achieve her dream of becoming a global star.

Should check it out too.

Cheers.

I'm 69yo from Louisville Kentucky and NeNe has gotten my rock juices flowing again. What a breath of fresh air to have rock back on a talent show like AGT.

Funny trivia. The first song she ever learned on the guitar was Zombie, at 7 years old. When she started busking in Phuket she only knew three songs so she replayed Zombie a few times each night. Now Zombie was the first song she busted out at AGT. Poetic.

The father bought her a $30 guitar when she was 7 and he could barely afford that so the amount of effort and sacrifice to get her to the U.S was massive. This was an extremely big deal for Nene and her family.

It's not only your 13 year old daughter. I'm of a much, much older generation, and even though I'd heard of the Cranberries, White Stripes, and Soundgarden, they were only names. Somehow I started watching this show, which I'd never watched, and now I've discovered the originals, which I've also enjoyed. Missioned Souls and The Warning got me listening to Metallica, AC/DC, etc. -- I'm glad I have a decade or so left to explore music I've never paid attention to.

If you want to see a documentary on NeNe, then there is a NeNe & Ozone Band “Life in Real Verse”, a fan-made documentary. Her first AGT audition was around March, so she had to not reveal anything for four months. Suddenly, it became an unexpected viral sensation.

Thank you for your reaction to this performance and for such a high assessment of Nene’s talent. I watched your previous reaction to Nene’s final performance and immediately subscribed to your channel. I’m looking forward to your reaction to Nene’s other performances as well — not just on the AGT show, but also to her old street performances!👍🏼🔥

This was probably the least of her four AGT performances, but it did exactly what it needed to do, which was get everybody's attention.

She doesn't need to convert middle-aged men like you or me to rock, but who she is might draw in not just kids, but women and half of Asia, which is a lot of people.

Join her channel, and see the beginning. And you are right, she is making many many young people want to listen to Rock and Roll and metal again. She is making songs she plays go viral again and bands young people don't listen to go viral again. React to her playing Master of Puppets fan cam in her white uniform. Or her playing the Eagles in her Frozen dress and her first electric guita on her channel which is mind blowing.

She is not shy at first, she is humble and respectful, this is from her Thaï culture and education.

You really have to go back pre. America's got talent to really see what made her, who she is, because this girl's been performing, live in front of crowds and she was nine years old
And her band is all between the ages of 13 and 15. At this point, in addition to her being sixteen, so go down that rabbit hole if you want to really understand
