Morvillo and Brusca, who never met, are linked by the Capaci massacre: she, a symbol of the law, he, of the Mafia. Two faces of the same land, telling the story of an Italy torn between justice and violence.
The Right Distance, with Roberto Saviano, begins in Sicily and the Capaci massacre.
At the center of the story are two figures at opposite ends of the spectrum. On one side, magistrate Francesca Morvillo, one of the first women to enter the heart of Sicilian justice, a symbol of rigor and dedication to the state. On the other, Giovanni Brusca, the Corleonesi boss who remotely activated the bomb that killed Giovanni Falcone, Morvillo, and his bodyguards on May 23, 1992.
Two lives far apart, destined never to meet, yet forever linked by one of the most dramatic events in Italian history: the clash between those who defend the state and those who seek to destroy it.
