This is why I am so thankful for my union. They would give me MINIMUM two weeks notice before I had to transfer and start. Sending well wishes❤️ You got this!

Wow! I cannot imagine. I am so impressed by how quickly you transitioned to your new school and classroom, and with such positivity.

I teach kinder, too. There are many things that are “so kindergarten” and the growth you’ll see with children academically and social emotionally is so rewarding. I hope you have a great year! Your kids are so lucky to have you.

I’m sorry. Your room was looking so good and you did meet the teacher night.

Hopefully you pull something together.

I know a teacher who was asked the day before school started to go from second to fourth grade. She had to have her classroom ready that fast! I can’t imagine. Your room looks great though, and I love your positive outlook. You’re going to have a great year!

This happened to me at the start of this year. In kindergarten as well. I was new to the first school so I set up my whole room, met my new students, we got a full week into the year and the district transferred me to a school with higher numbers and more need. So down came everything I just put up 😅 I will say I am glad it happened at the beginning of the year instead of like halfway through.

I taught kinder and luckily I was able to stay with first and second grade after that.  Kinders are so needy!  They do show tons of growth and by the end of the school year it is incredible to see their maturity!  We had a kinder teacher get moved to second grade after a few weeks of school due to high numbers in second grade and low numbers in kinder....it's crazy how this happens!

I had no idea this happens! I’m a kinder mom and the thought of switching teachers anywhere into the school year breaks my heart for you and the kiddos.

I hope you will like teaching kindergarten

Omg you are my new teacher

As a teacher, a lot of frustrating things pop up unexpectedly, and they can easily mess up my day. I'm still learning how to quickly turn my mood around in a positive way. I really admire your positivity.❤

You’re students are lucky to have a great teacher like you! Love the positivity! Have a wonderful school year!! 💖

Kristen! I am so sorry that you had to not only move schools but grade levels as well! A teammate of mine on my 1st grade team got displaced this past week so I know how tough it must be. However, your new classroom looks amazing and those Kindergartners are so lucky to have you! Fortunately you moved down to Kindergarten so the students really don't know what is really going on so thats lucky for you-haha! :)

Also Kindergarten is tough, but in the best way possible. I taught Kindergarten 2014-2020. They learn and grow so much throughout the school year and for some it is their first school experience so you get to show them that learning is fun! Good luck! <3

Hey! I am a kindergarten teacher in Minnesota! I know you are absolutely going to love kindergarten! A huge thing for my kiddos is they love visual schedules and really pictures of everything! I am so sorry that they were shifting you like this, that must have been a total headache. Have a great year! P.S. Your classroom setup is so fire compared to the last one! I feel like the orange cupboards were throwing off the vibe! Plus your own lockers! Amaze! Also, did your EA get to stay with you?

Hello! I am a kinder teacher as well! Happy for you! For the above lockers I recommend still numbering them and using them for extra student supplies and for their change of clothing if they wet themselves. We have each student bring a change of clothing in case of accidents if you don’t do that then don’t mind this comment!

As a parent of 4 kids, so thankful for all the work you put into your classrooms. My last 2 kids are in 1st and 2nd and I love watching to get inspiration to have a nice small setup here at home. I’m sure you are inspiring many others, teachers are grateful and kids are soooo lucky to have you! Have a great year, can’t wait to see more videos.  ❤❤

I’m so sorry they moved you. It happened to a teacher at our school too.

I’m so sorry that they moved you 😢 Good luck and be strong 💪 I cross my fingers for you 🤞😊🍎

I must say I LOVE your new classroom it’s more cozy 🖤

I have never heard of this, being transferred by your district, that’s wild! Good luck!

I’d be ticked!
