I love geography, and also studied French as a language in high school, so I really loved this video. You can see why there is a stone wall closest to the edge of the valleys - otherwise there would be some nasty accidents.
The road used to share its allowance with a local narrow gauge railway, which has gone long ago, and the remnants of this railway line are the numerous tunnels reused by the road when it splits.

4:32 en dan zijn het al geen stevige tunnels (aangezien ze van rotsen zijn gemaakt) gaat er nog een zware vrachtwagen door heen ook? Dat daar dan geen lawine komt? En zeker in zo smalle enkel baan tunnel.
