No matter how fast you go frog boy the factory will still call

You can't distract us Mart. The Factory must grow.

HOLY PEAK FTL MENTIONED

4:06 Don't worry, Martin. Just this once, this isn't your fault. You see, you can't upgrade your ship in dangerous environment, such as asteroids. So you couldn't upgrade either way.

34:47 that's what you get for swapping out the healing drone. thanks for making it Mart!

Upgraded cloak is actually a bit of a trap for the final boss. It cloaks longer but also has a longer cooldown, because the cooldown only starts when it ends, and the superweapon still charges while you are cloaked. With T1 cloak, you can use cloak to dodge every time the superweapon fire, but with T3, it is still on cooldown when the superweapon fires again.

everyone telling Mart that the factory is waiting as if this fight wasn't him trying to get back to the factory in the first place

i remember watching the stream and seeing Mart make the mistake of killing all of the crew on the rebel flagship at the end of the game, that loss was painful to watch

FTL is a legendary game! I love that people still make videos on it today! Oh btw… you can literally just restart the run constantly until you start next to a shop you like. This is how most people would begin these types of challenge runs!
Also… I didn’t know what to expect, but that’s definitely how I imagined him looking

10:30 there’s no way Martin is 38 years old

He’s looking for the planet the factory’s on guys don’t worry

i do remember theres an FTL save editor online somewhere so you can edit what weapons you start with, maybe this can be revisited to start you with an ion and fire weapon right from the start, to see if it is indeed possible. maybe 2 ions and a fire could yield greater success from sector 1

8:24 ATTACK THE D POINT!

17:49 the slug straight up stole the name butters after hearing that it was made available

That firebeam grab at the start was insane, i don't think i've ever seen anything more timely from this game
minus the uhh happy ending seconds later

BABE WAKE UP MART JUST POSTED ANOTHER BANGER

editing was very good this episode, every time it cut to the screaming crewmates i died

Fun fact: in real life, the navy are all trained to fight fires because fires in a ship is one of the worst things that can happen.

I know I'm a little late, and someone else may have suggested this, but the B Layout for the Rock vessel actually starts with firebombs. Which also go through shields, eliminating the need for early ion - completely bypassing the necessity of only starting the challenge halfway through the game.
