You were 100% correct on the epoxy, but instead of using those dowels, use Tri-stock under the maple rails to increase the surface area

Looks like a Lovely Stik Now!

That basically happened to me with the old school model works ghost. The front dowels assembly hosing the front of the wing failed. Wing flew off and turned the fuse into a lawn dart...

You got a sneak preview of the expiration date.

Hi The most important is to extend the glue surface to some lateral sides around the blocs contre the side of the fuselage will be the best solution. The dowel are not so bad but the sheare  resistance in in the 3mm of the side.. Kind of local dubler ply around the blocs. I am also thinking of building it and this I found to be a weak point.  For me the bloc has to be perpendicular to the screw , lower and the doubler will reinforce the up side where the sheare forces are. Epoxyed ofcourse. Don't forget that  you have a let say 5Kg fuselage and at 4g wheights 20Kg

Use slow-setting epoxy as it has time to soak into the wood. I also use triangular stock above the wing mount batten to make it really strong

love the Rebel, i have something similar called "roadrunner". i would love to see a montage of flight vids. as usual, takeoffs and landings. no need to watch the dot go left and the dot go right!:face-red-heart-shape: do you have any details on the workbench/table saw??

Not sure drilling into the end grain of the hold down blocks is the best move.

Yeah i would have used tri stock under them and 30 minute epoxy.
