Piece of art, air cooled,  brembo, shaftdrive, cruise control, midsize, made in Italy, prime finishing,  just perfect!

I'm retired now from working as a respiratory therapist in hospitals. I've never struggled with mental health, but some days at work (most days, actually) could be quite stressful... especially if one of the patients that I'd been working with for weeks or months happened to die. I'd leave work and ride my motorcycle(s) for an hour or so before heading home and the days problems would just blow away in the wind.

Can't resist being the first of many smartarses.  The white spot button is for heated grips if you have them fitted.  If you don't have them fitted then you still get the button but have to imagine the heat.  You don't have to imagine very hard because they're not that hot.  The Cruise Control switch, you press it in for three seconds until a green light flashes on the dashboard that's designed to make you think you've left the indicator on (why MG?).  Then a brief press will set it.  I have one.  I keep meaning to replace it with a V100 Stelvio but can't give it up.  De-cat for great sound, k+n air filter makes it perkier, then got it re-mapped at Dave Wood Racing.  I can't bear to let it go.  It IS the Harley of adventure bikes.  It's not great but it is loveable.  For reference I'm in my 50s and a lifelong biker.  I love all bikes and most oysters so not a very good benchmark.  Also have a Himmy 450...and Tenere 660 and a black car of some description.

Had my heart set on a V100 Mandello, test rode a couple, went to test another, it was out on service loan. The dealer said take that V85 FOR A SPIN, on a freezing Febuary day, 2 1/2 hrs later, I was hooked, the smell, the shake, the feeling of pure mechanical magic, the comfort, loved it. Bought a 2025 model, in 24, never looked back. I have only seen one more on the road in my neck of the woods. Does everything I want and nothing I don't, isn't 20ft tall and 8ft wide and doesn't cost £30k. Brilliant, that button by the way, that's the cool and exclusive button, you press it just as you arrive at your destination 😀

First off, I love it when a review starts with a beer! It’s bound to be good! I’m hitting the like button and keep watching! Cheers from Croatia...

That mystery button is for heated grips. You get the button whether or not you get the heated grips option. Cruise control; hold the button straight down for 1-2 seconds a green light will appear in the upper left of the dash. A quick press will now set the speed.

I've had a few very nice motorcycles and of all of them my V85TT is the most charming pleasing satisfying bike I've owned. Adorable.

Im the lucky owner of a 2025 model. Great bike, great torque, great style and a pure Joy whenever rode It. A Marvel.

I love this bike. Last Saturday I was walking through the beautiful Moravian Karst region in the Czech Republic, and a V85 was cruising down the beautiful road. The sound of the factory exhaust is beautiful, deep, and resonant, yet doesn't scare people. It's wonderful.

Really appreciate your approach to talking about mental health. Seeing another guy talk about it in such a casual yet sincere way on a public platform is really refreshing, especially in the motorcycle space which can often be a blokey/macho sort of vibe. I would have really benefited from hearing this kind of talk as a youth and I'm sure others will, keep up the great content and what a cool bike to feature!

More at home on my V85tt then at home. Love it!

Nice of the publican (Guy) to loan you his Moto Guzzi. Thanks for the video!

Nice work as always Mate. I love my v7 Sport and reviewed it recently. I’m reviewed the V85 Strada right now actually, and you are so bang on with this TT. Worth the extra cash over the Strada I think. And yes that “spot ya need to itch”!

Great review great to have you back mate  😊 re mental health and bikes 👍   ps scallop burger o yes  🍔  💪

2024/25 E5+ is a better bike all round. And they can be had for a good price. Mine was £9999 brand new for the TT variant.

This is the modern version of my old BMW airhead GS.  Glad to see Guzzi get that combination of old school air cooled motor with modern electronics.

I was considering for quite some time the v7, but for the extra confort and slightly bigger tank, this may be my next bike

Rode this model today. What a bike 😮 Sooo much character,in a good way! And the seating position is really good. But that engine...I'm in love 😍 I also rode a California 1400 today. Even Moore character. But i sat better on the V85. And i am 6'2.

original tea hut Epping, great spot

I had it for 2 years now and i ve put 20k km on it. I can confirm the the greatest pros of this bike are the comfort and the fuel consumption. I often ride with friends and they need to pause way more often than me. Even on long transfers on the highway (3+ hours) it still remains comfortable. And as I was saying, it burns less fuel than most other bikes of similar or higher displacement. Another good thing is that the fuel tank is actually gigantic (23 liters!) and that means that you dont need to stop as often to refuel. The downside of this bike is that (if you ride with friends) you're gonna be a bit slower when you exit a curve because it doesnt accelerate as well as other bikes, but truth be told the engine wasnt made for that. In terms of handling, the bike is amazing and you can really do stupid and dangerous stuff with it. You can really lean the bike a lot more than you'd expect, and it remains glued to the road. Super easy to ride. Very, VERY sporty geometry (It doesnt feel too different from a Multistrada!) so you can have "unconventional" fun with it.
