Sattam (சட்டம்) 1983 Full Movie HD | Kamal Haasan, Sarath Babu, Madhavi, Jaishankar | Gangai Amaran Hits | தமிழ் திரைப்படம்

📝 Synopsis
The movie Sattam (The Law) delivers an intense 1983 Tamil crime action drama centered on personal morals, legal ethics, deep friendship, and vigilante justice. The story revolves around two close childhood friends—Raja (Kamal Haasan), a fearless and idealistic lawyer, and Ravi (Sarath Babu), an unyielding and dedicated police inspector.

Though both friends share the common goal of eradicating crime, their paths diverge sharply due to their contrasting philosophies. While Ravi believes strictly in abiding by the legal system, Raja becomes disillusioned by courtroom loopholes that allow dangerous criminals to walk free. Driven by a desire for true justice, Raja adopts an undercover persona to take the law into his own hands. Tensions escalate when a ruthless underworld kingpin (Jaishankar) plays the two friends against each other, placing their bond and lives in severe jeopardy. With strong emotional arcs involving Madhavi (Madhavi) and lighter comedic moments provided by Manorama and Y. G. Mahendran, Sattam races toward a powerful climax. Directed by K. Vijayan and featuring energizing music by Gangai Amaran, this film remains a standout 1980s action classic.
