ok, but if on one train track, there was unlimited bacon, but no games, and on the other, there was games, unlimited games, but no games, would you pull the lever?

Of course.
The trolley problem is like choosing between saving slmccl or slimecicle… I could never abandon one

0:18 As a sign language student, I can confidently say, no, I've never heard of moon bacon

The majority are absolutely in the wrong here at 14:29. An average car being used an average amount will produce more than ten times that amount of CO2 yearly, and a trolley could conceivably prevent multiple people from using their cars as much. Crashing that trolley means the people that use it are going to have to drive instead, resulting in CO2 emissions going up.

One thing that I feel a lot of people don't get is that the trolley problem isn't about "killing A or killing B", it's about "killing A or not saving B". This distinction is important because pulling the lever is itself murder, not pulling is not. In the base case, you're not "killing 1 or killing 5", the question is "would you murder one person to save five?". So in the Rich guy case, for instance, it's not a decision of "Saving a person or saving a person and getting money", the question is "would you get paid to save someone by killing someone else?"

20:35 Little does Charlie know, I'm gonna rapidly sub and unsub to Tokyo drift the train into him and all my fellow viewers.

18:55 I love Charlie's reaction when he realizes that he's doing the exact same self-gaslighting that politicians do when running the world

“Cuz I’ll tell you what, life is easy and you are OP if you have an internal locust” is an all time Charlie quote for me

19:12 this question bothers me because it assumes that free will and everything being predetermined are mutually exclusive concepts, rather than the reality which is that one of the factors predetermining your fate in life IS your free will. you are not puppeted by circumstances or chemicals, you are the PRODUCT of those circumstances and chemicals in your brain.

For the origional trolley problem, it could be argued that you shouldn't pull the lever, this is because if you don't pull the lever you are simply a bystander to the murder of five people, however if you pulled the lever, you would actively be committing murder in the first degree. Therefore I would simply look the other way.

I love how he talked about the financial repercussions when it was trollies and stuff, but not the murder charges that would happen from pulling the levers.

The trolley problem is a question as old as time. An omniscient, omnipotent eldritch gunk-god such as slimecicle scoffs at the concept of 'time'.

As a man who is frequently tied to train tracks, it's surprising what people will do for the promise of $500,000

9:48 it’s nice of the trolley to be going slow enough to give some time to do a little research before making a decision

9:41 that is the most diabolical joke ive ever heard lmaooooooooooo

Imagine hopping on a trolley ah having chuck say "sorry about that everyone, seems to be a little GUNK on the rails"

16:48 BRO I THOUGHT THE LOVE TOWN REFERENCE WAS UNINTENTIONAL UNTIL TOMERRY LITERALLY SHOWED UP ON THE SCREEN

12:35 did you just make a slur for organics

PROJECT MOON MENTIONED 16:44

The original version of the trolley problem if thinking lawfully, do nothing equals you are a witness, do something equals you committed murder.
