KT's Choi Won-jun has written a new chapter in professional baseball history by hitting his 204th hit of the season.
However, Lotte's Reyes is chasing him with just a single hit difference, keeping the tension high until the very end.
Reporter Hwang Chan-min reports on the highlight of the final stretch of this season that could even shake up the landscape for the regular season MVP.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, KT's Choi Won-jun hits a double that lands just in front of the right-field fence.
This marks his 202nd hit of the season, tying the all-time single-season record for hits in professional baseball.
However, Lotte's Reyes, the previous record holder, did not sit idly by.
Exactly five minutes later, he hit a lucky infield single against KIA, reaching the 202-hit mark again for the first time in two years.
With attention focused on who would be the first to set a new record, Choi Won-jun became the first player to hit his 203rd hit of the season by hitting a ball to left field in the 7th inning.
Choi Won-jun added another hit in the 8th inning to increase his record to 204, while Reyes hit his 203rd hit in the 9th inning, closing the gap to just one.
Although Choi Won-jun has taken the lead, it is impossible to know who the final winner will be.
While Choi Won-jun has only two games remaining, Reyes has four, meaning the lead could easily be overturned.
▶ Interview: Choi Won-jun / KT Outfielder
"It is such a meaningful and great record, but I feel like it might be broken again soon..."
If Choi Won-jun manages to shake off Reyes's pursuit and hold onto first place until the end, the landscape for the regular season MVP could also be shaken up.
Just as Seo Geon-chang, who became the first player in history to surpass 200 hits in 2014, beat 52-home run slugger Park Byung-ho to claim the MVP award,
Choi Won-jun is also emerging as a strong dark horse in the MVP race, shaking up the two-way rivalry between KIA's Kim Do-young and Doosan's Kwak Bin.
