My hot take is that I’m sick of there being no more original mario games on the switch now

I really think that Mario 3d Land is the most underated 3d mario game.
Recently I bought the game before the eshop closes and I am really enjoying it up till now.
I expected someone to talk about it but nobody even mentioned it. This shows that its really underated and not many people have played the game

If Mario and Sonic do an actual crossover it should be an rpg like Mario & Luigi since if it were a platformer ,switching between Mario and sonic would be very hard since of their different gameplay styles

14:07 "her backstory isn't like invalid now" tell that to mk8's baby rosalina

My Mario Hot Takes:
Super Mario 3D Land is the most underrated 3D Mario game. I was expecting it to be in this video, and it wasn't even mentioned. I love the game a lot. It has one of, if not, the best Mario soundtrack, and the gameplay and personality of the game gave it a unique charm that no other 3D Mario possesses as it actual played like a 2D Mario game in a 3D environment.

10:46 either they’re equal or I agree. The movie designs are spectacular, the only reason people could still actively dislike them is because they’re different.

I feel like just because Alphadream went bankrupt doesn't mean that Nintendo couldn't re-hire some of the original developers.

I think it's better if wario and waluigi serve rival roles in main line stories then main villains. As they are now I think it would be more in character for them to ethier be fallowing you or you so happened to run into them while theh where looking for something. As the no longer have the presents needed to be big bads of a whole story.

Although Bowser's Fury is one of my favorite Mario games, and i've replayed it (100%) 3 additional times (all of my saves are 100% complete). I think they nailed the 3d movement and exploration. As much as I love cap bouncing and the flow in odyssey, I'd want the next 3d game to be more like Bowser's Fury, because its just so fun and beautiful. I did 100% odyssey though.

i agree Super Mario 3D world was a phenomenal game
It was one of my first video game experiences, up there with little big planet and Minecraft, so there is a lot of bias there, but my opinion still stands.
the levels are fun, the cat bell controls amazingly, several secrets and Easter eggs, tons of replay value and great post game content,  bopping sound track, pretty reasonably difficult, the graphics hold up so well. I love this game, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

2:27 bro forgot that mario kart 8 for the wii u existed

I think Mario 64 is so iconic it’s just timeless even if you would say the graphics are “bad” of course they are but we still love the graphical style of it

a few mario hot takes of mine:
- the 3d world ost as a whole is quite a bit better than the odyssey ost as a whole.
- i think the new super mario bros games are decent basic mario games, but not basic in a bad way.
- i DON'T think the koopalings are horrible characters. gasp sound effect
- i DON'T think shy guy is a horrifying demogorgon ahh creature under the mask, instead a shy boo with legs. another gasp sound effect

My hot take: Luigi generally should get more attention in the Mario series, particularly the 3D games. That’s why I love 64 DS so much, because they have the four different characters

most of the time it's like "I disagree but I respect your opinion"

THIS is what a hot take looks like. I’ve seen some of you guys’ “hot” takes and they are freezing cold. More of THIS.

15:05 I completely agree. I played through 3D World once, but the Bowser's Fury part is what I come back to every year.

"alphadream has gone out of business and there will be no more mario and luigi games" 14:40 WE BACK NOW WITH SOME OF THE ORIGINAL DEVS!

My hot take is that just because a game like Bowser's Fury is short, doesn't mean it isn't a "full game" as you say. Heck it's longer than some 2d Mario's. Longer doesn't equal better or more complete. It just means it's longer.

The homebrew Luigi version of Mario 64 on the 3ds was making me smile recently. It aged well and is super fun.
