The more modern re-enactment scenes used in this documentary are actually from another documentary from 2015 called "The Pirate Treasure of Cocos Island", Series 3 Episode 8 of "Myth Hunters".
I know this because I was one of the tiny eight-person team of extras who played the colonists persuaded to go to Cocos and who then revolted.
All scenes were filmed on a single, lovely summer's day at The Valley of The Rocks in Devon (UK) using just a couple of handheld 2K vidcams.
I still remember it as a great fun day!
