The numbers are interesting … but the impact Wyn has made and continues to make in the sport is priceless!

As others have said, the pertinent fact is there are riders who made more money and had better results that I had very little interest in watching or following. Regardless of finances or finishes, Wyn has been one of the best elements of the downhill scene/community/experience for years. There's value as a rider, and then there's value as a human being. And Wyn's stock is through the roof. Top bloke.

We just witnessed why Wyn and Wyn TV works. Wyn just keeps it honest and real. Without Wyn being who he is the rest of us would be missing out on all the great contact and honest views of all the riders we love to hear from. Wyn delivers the type of media that we all want and contributes to what makes the Mt bike world special. Thanks, Wyn!

I think it’s great you made this video. Seeing your whole story will help up and coming riders navigate their way through the business side outside of the riding

All the work you put in, the media coverage, the help for the young guys and girls, training, organizing and the honesty and balls to talk about money and contracts is so great. Keep it up Wyn! We will definitely keep tuning in.

I chased professional motocross for a 10 year period and while it was a constant struggle to even get to some events, I don’t have a single regret. It was an amazing time and the little wins like qualifying for the main just made them more memorable. I’m now 51 with 13 knee surgeries including 4 ACL’s, living in constant pain in my back, wrists, and neck but still no regrets.

Dude the bent arm story is fucking GNARLY.  Thanks for putting this out, its a great watch and real cool to learn about your trajectory though the sport.  Also jr. Troy 🤣.. he hasn't aged a day.

A real hero supporting privateers in a very expensive sport. You're a beacon of leadership!

Also a damn hoot to be around.

Wow! I don't think i heard one negative thing!! Wyn, you are a legend!!! No winging, no moaning. Wyn TV in the pits has always been the best.

Imagine if we hadn’t had Wyn TV as an authentic and informative source for DH sport over the last few years. Since Discovery+ killed off Enduro and has struggled terribly to get off the ground in the DH sector, many fans have lost interest. For many, Wyn TV is the lifeline for genuine insights and enjoyment of this extraordinary sport. A true ambassador. Thank you, Wyn

Thanks Wyn, appreciate the candour. I've never been a fan of secrets around pay: if you work hard, you commit and you do right by the team and the sport you should be rewarded. Who benefits from keeping it a secret? Only people who don't want a level and fair playing field. And there's very little of that these days, which is why you're a legend.

Wyn
Absolutely brilliant as always.
Your honesty was excellent and will help many up coming riders to hopefully make good decisions and there dreams come true.

Wyn is right up there with Tippie, a couple of the very greatest global mountain bike personalities. Real treasure to humanity. A good bloke.

Took the chance and lived your dream.

Mad respect my bro.

This was great ! WYN you are an absolute legend !  Someone sharing there experiences and being completely honest, giving back to the young riders who need it are what is truly needed in this sport! It is the lifeblood for the future!
Greatest ambassador of any sport!

What a life you have had so far, may it only get better.
What an absolute legend of the sport.

You're doing the sport and all the young hopeful riders a huge favor with this. Respect!!!

Wyn, thank you 🙏 This IS a turning point for the sport, well done 👍🏼 Retired now, I worked in a well paid high responsibility competitive environment. But there were no secrets about pay. None. What mattered was measurable outcomes directly attributable to my engagement with plus my contribution to the business at hand and measured by peer and customer anonymous review to impact reward. It worked very well. I’m not going to suggest that’s possible for MTB - it isn’t, not completely. But the current idea in our sport that smoke and mirrors fosters the best outcomes is not just antiquated and a cultural weakness - bad enough - it’s also a contributor to lack of fan engagement and sponsor profit. Good lad and looking forward to the rest of this Series. Lastly, thank you Wyn for your entertainment and most particularly for your generosity to upcoming tyros 😊

ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

This is a great video! Golden information for young / mid-career sports athletes. I think it also highlights just how much you REALLY have to cut your teeth in the early years, especially for southern hemisphere folks! someone young may watch this and think "hell yeah, I want that!" whereas the next young person may think "actually, I'm not sure if this would be the path for me" and alter their trajectory.... either way is OKAY :) Massive thanks to you for putting in the shift in the media space! When it comes to MTB media, it's you and Ben Cathro!
