"Lost Wages" (a nickname for Las Vegas). That's what the background vocalists are singing.

Album released in July 1973 ....... this was way ahead of it's time, in my opinion..

It's hard to write a song that stays in one chord throughout and give it plenty of atmosphere, but they do with cherries on top.

“Lost Wages” was a nickname for Las Vegas coined by comedian Lenny Bruce.✌🏼😎

The synchronicity between Airplay Beats and Steely Dan's music is undeniable. Y'all get the Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Soul of all types and styles of music, just like The Dan. That why you guys have the reaction channel that is nothing but Net when it comes to all the music you play.
Keep up the significant reactions and commentary. I want you to know that you are greatly appreciated. It's a low-down, dirty shame you
haven't got more subscribers. This is what a Reaction Channel should be. Every Subscribed viewer should pass the word to a friend or share these reactions.

Again, Steely Dan's music is on another level alltogether.

Here's one for you fellas... The slide guitar player on this is Rick Derringer, the same guy who played guitar on Frankenstein with Edgar Winter group. The background singers are singing "go to lost wages" (Las vegas play on words). Love the energy fellas!

Lost wages, Las Wages, Lot's Wages.  Phenomenal song.  One chord in true funk fashion.  Great reaction as always guys.

As a kid, this was the first time I heard the F-bomb in a song.  That got my attention!  lol

Steely Dan’s incredible background vocals, sayin Lost Wages, baby!

3:05 after "t-shirt", you can hear the quick guitar homage to Reeling in the Years.  Also gotta love how they sneak in the F word on an album in 1973.

Love this album! I have it on CD so that I can listen to it while driving around the desert

"They got the Steely Dan t-shirts"

If you have heard this song more than once, you ARE a Steely Dan fan.

My fav album of the Dan.

You guys need Steely Dan Tshirts.....
You have earned them.
🎉😂

.....you guys will just have to accept the fact that grooves like this came out of the 70's in mass quantities by many artists, but this is one of the best..... 🤠

This is my favorite song of all the great Steely Dan songs. Great start to a Saturday once again. As always fellas great reaction. Much appreciated 🙏

The lyrics where- "they got the Steely Dan t-shirt"☺

Always been a permanent resident on my playlist :goodvibes:
