As part of their current concert series in Düsseldorf, Brian, Nick, Howie, Kevin, and AJ signed the city's Golden Book at the invitation of Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller. ✍️
During the visit, Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller and D.LIVE Managing Director Michael Brill, along with tour promoter Marek Lieberberg, CEO of Live Nation, presented the band with the "Sold-Out Award." This award recognizes artists who manage to sell out the Merkur Spiel-Arena for their concerts in Düsseldorf.
The mayor also had musical gifts for the band: As mementos of the visit, the Backstreet Boys received records by Düsseldorf music legends Kraftwerk and Die Toten Hosen, as well as Oscar winner Volker Bertelmann, known as "Hauschka."
To conclude their visit, the five band members signed five city bikes from the Düsselbikes fleet, which were dedicated to them. The "Backstreet Bikes" will be auctioned off for charity.
