As an irishman , I think it's appalling how the English treat their sporting heroes,
Owen was England's highest ever point scorer,  and the media and fans drove him out of the national team and he even left the country,  absolutely vile , shameful.

To all the haters, just spend 30 seconds listening to those who actually played with AND against him. Nothing but respect!

Thank you OF for all your heart and dog and SUCCESS playing for England (will never forget that smirk before AB victory)… and shame on Eng fans who carped and sniped and even BOOED you…

There is little doubt Owen is a 'winner', his dedication to winning and loyalty to his team and tactical awareness is supreme.

Always been a huge fan. One of England's all time greats. Absolute legend 💪

Italian rugby fan here living in France since the last 20 years. First time i saw Faz was in Colombes, suburb of Paris. He was the very young fly half of the Sarries, but his carismatic leadership was already with him. To me he realized  the best performance ever played by a fly half when England demolished the All Blacks 19-7 in 2019 semis of the world cup. Only respect for a legendary player.

As an Irish supporter I have the height of respect for Owen Farrell. He’s very like Johnny Sexton in that neither was/is willing to take a step backwards. I hope Steve Borthwick has the sense to include him in his squad for the 2027 World Cup.

Bok supporter here and also a big fan of Wilkinson. Humble and heroic world cup winner. Why was he not knighted?

One of Englands very best could never understand why England fans were so quick to Criticise… super Owen

Great player. Love it!

Wilkinson also said Italy were the team to watch in the 2026 6 nations. Given how well Italy played, who they beat, and who they ran close to beating... Wilkinson is a very insightful commentator of the game.

Kiwi here, he is a true Warrior.  All the best to him.

Andy asked the team if they wanted Owen back in the 2025 tour they said YES 😂

Young Ford was a Youth Rugby League product,

It was so easy to swallow the low-hanging fruit around Owen Farrell, BUT if he'd been a Springbok we would have loved him.

If it means milking penalties, bending the rules or putting the hammer down Owens the man. He's not their to look pretty like other players he's their to win by any means necessary & that's what matters in the modern game

The Springboks had Butch James.

Great respect for OF - brilliant player, character for getting on with the job irrespective of media and fan criticisms. Only negative and very valid point was his total lack of tackle technique.

Owen Farrell was/ is a superb rugby player. To excel at 10 AND 12 at international level proves his ability. He brought a completely different vibe to the game and the back line in particular. Aggressive, competitive and full of guts. England and British rugby owes him a huge debt. He had many more supporters and admirers than the fair weather ‘fans’ and talking heads suggested

Lots of respect for him and that is also shown by anyone who has ever played with him. They all talk about him in very positive terms. However he does/did have problems with tackle height and not wrapping. I've no problem with good tackles especially dominant tackles, they're what make the game worth watching but you need to wrap and pay attention to where you hit. Given his attention to detail, I would hope that he has sorted that part of his game or he will just be a red card liability under the current rules
