It was actually easier for me to unplug the air assist and the cable after removing the module that way I could turn it and see the cable and clip much easier, especially if you are like me and have fat fingers. Thanks for posting. My S1 definitely needed cleaned.

Today I followed this maintenance guide from start to finish. I've had my S1 for about 6 months now and it made a huge difference. You definitely cant go wrong following this step by step. Machine is like new again. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your amazing tutorial on cleaning the xTool S1. I have been putting this off because I was so worried about messing something up. You gave clear and simple instructions on exactly what I needed to do, and now I have a super clean machine and will be able to keep it that way. Well, I still need to clean the honeycomb, but I’m headed outside to do that right now.

Great tutorial, thank you. I also have an S1 40W and when I get around to cleaning the laser module it looks way dirtier than yours did in your video. You've given me the motivation to clean mine more often!

Excellent video on cleaning. Used it for step by step cleaning of my S1. Attempted to clean my Honeycomb piece with Simple Green and result were not great. Doubtful about LA Awesome but did order it and used it. Results: AWESOME!
Thank you for the tip. Cleans the gunk beautifully. May need two applications but only because some surfaces may not be wet by the spray.

Thank you for this. Finally got my S1 and have been cutting some acrylic to make keychains. Now that I know how to clean the machine it will be on to wood.
