My bestie got married in 2012 and my Maid Of Honor invitation was hand delivered... it was an envelope with a picture of Maya Rudolph in the white dress, shitting in the street with the tagline, "IT'S HAPPENING!"

This movie came out when I was going through a depressive phase - the first time I watched it, I empathized HEAVILY with Annie's messy ass and how rejected she felt... then like two years later I rewatched it while I was in a better mental space and was seeing it from the COMPLETELY opposite side, watching Annie sabotage herself and her own happiness and relationships over and over had me almost SCREAMING at the screen, it was FASCINATING to watch myself have two SUCH different reactions to this movie based on my own mental headspace

I literally quoted the  "help me, I'm poor" line when applying for a car loan 15+ years ago. Dad was mortified bc he hadn't seen the movie, loan officer loved it. I got the loan 😂

To be fair, I as a woman, want a man who looks like a man but acts like a woman

In a film studies class, we introduced ourselves with our favorite film, and everyone said depressing films like Oldboy, Amores Perros or Dancer in the Dark. Then Jen said Bridemaids - my film instructor responded, "At the end of the semester that will change." It didn't change and Jen was the only honest person there

I saw this movie in a tester audience/early release or whatever. They filled the theater with women to the point there was barely a seat left. One of the best movie experiences I’ve ever hard. The gasps, the laughs, and the aww’s turned the movie up to 11. When the cop says he wanted to bake together, the collective “awww!” was almost louder than the movie. When Jon Hamm says “you’re no longer my number 3,” the outraged gasps were so loud and perfectly synced it was basically a jump scare. Those were the two biggest moments, but throughout the movie the reactions were great

“Get your shit together carol” will never leave my brain.

Bridesmaids is such a funny film it's almost unfair to other comedies. "Wanna watch me dance?" is still something I quietly murmur to myself at appropriate moments.

Bridesmaids" is often remembered for the comedy and unforgettable scenes (like that bridal shop food poisoning moment lol), but beneath all the laughs, it’s a deeply emotional story about adult friendship, insecurity, and change. At its core, it’s about growing apart from people you love, especially as adulthood pulls you in different directions.
-Annie’s struggle with Lillian getting married (and seemingly “replaced” by Helen) captures that feeling of losing someone to another phase of life.
-There's also a theme of personal stagnation vs. growth—Annie is stuck, while everyone around her seems to be moving on or up.

I say "beaver first" way more than I should

This movie is why I finally dumped my first bf.. I heard "you're no longer my number 3", related too much.. never went back. One of my faves :)

My best friend got married and we recreated the movie poster as one of her wedding pictures😂 it's so good!

I love this movie. Long story short, I was the "contemporary friend" in the bridal party. The maid of honor was a "legacy friend". The bride grabbed me in the middle of the reception to tell me, "I should have made you the MOH." 😂

I had an amazing bachelorette party idea. It was affordable for all and a real party. The MOH picked a trip to the coast that NONE of us could afford, and the bride fractured her neck while we were there (she got married in a neck brace).

Wedding day, MOH was more worried about herself, while I scampered around taking care of details. MOH was also super pissed when I brought a shot of whiskey to the bride while she was getting dressed to calm her nerves. The bride was grateful. 😂

"Help me, I'm poor" is one of my echolalia/stims lol

I need a one man show of the entire movie performed and uploaded on YouTube.
