Winning the heisman and then playing a whole different sport professionally is unreal

35 picks in one season? One winning season in eight years? Wouldn’t have made it to the third season today.

I grew up watching Plunker. Then helped Oakland win the Superbowl! Unreal! Great video! Thank you

It's crazy how good Heisman QBs are now. For the longest time, it looked like winning the Heisman meant you were gonna be a bust in the NFL.

lol the comment about the Bengals possibly dominating this year didnt age well

yo Crazy how winning the Heisman can launch a QB into legend… or pressure that changes everything. Some became icons, some faded fast, but every story shows that talent alone isn’t enough. Football really humbles everyone. 🏈

The Comeback Player of the Year Award should be renamed to either the Jim Plunkett or Alex Smith award.

Hurricane Fan Here… I stopped paying attention to the Heisman when Geno won the Heisman over Marshall Faulk.

It's interesting to see how the density of heisman to pro success has increased so drastically over the last decade. I think it shows that college systems and pro systems are starting to mirror each other more than in the past.

What a difference a year makes with Williams and Daniel’s

Personally, I think Tim Tebow was just a few years to early for his play style.

No talk about Washington rushing RG3 back early and destroying his career?

@jimgorycki4013 1 year ago (edited)

That playoff game with RGIII all dinged up and taped up , with Fredskin (Alfred Morris RB from FAU) and Pierre Garcon, it was an exciting game. As for Gino Torretta, shouldn't wore unlucky # 13. Only Marino and Kurt Warner deserved that number. Purdy? The jury's still out.

A total of 12 Heisman Trophy winners have won at least one Super Bowl.

The 2 that shocked me most were Ty Detmer.. I figured he would have had a great NFL career, and I was also very surprised that Dannt
Y Weurffel didn't have a good, succesful career.

In the NFL a Team's Coaching staff can change very often. Egos, envy, Jealousy get in the way and careers get destroyed. Often it's not the Heisman Winner but the Coaching staff.
