Day 11 of Inktober 2026, and today's prompt is RESCUE! 🐾

For today's carving, I made a simple paw print inspired by our one-eyed rescue dog, Odin. But don't let his adorable, perpetually winking face fool you. This 90-pound menace has been wreaking havoc since he was just a puppy!

In this video, I'm sharing Odin's story, from being abandoned on the side of the road during a snowstorm, to losing his eye at just a few weeks old, to eventually finding his forever home with us. Along the way, we'll talk about his many aliases (Blizzard, Havoc, and finally Odin), his complete disregard for social cues, and how he's managed to turn our household upside down.

Despite everything he's been through, Odin hasn't slowed down one bit. He's living proof that you don't need two eyes to cause twice the trouble.

We're officially more than a third of the way through Inktober, and the daily eraser carvings are still going strong!

Do you have a rescue pet with a story of their own? I'd love to hear about them in the comments!
