Mr. DiGG

After Hurricane Helene, we're seeing a LOT more waste come into our C&D landfill. Just while filming this video during the 4-hour work window, we received 460 TONS of waste! (Do we need to extend Saturday operation hours to meet the disposal demand??) A mobile home even showed up, and we tried a unique disposal method. Thanks for watching, we truly appreciate your support here on the Mr.DiGG channel!!

Talking for the sake of talking is one thing, but you are instructive , educational, in a down to earth, everyday way. I, for one, have learned a lot about your business and enjoy the content.

That home did NOT want to go over! It was hanging on for dear life!

The fact that you put your guys thoughts into making decisions on the landfill speaks volumes of your character. Any other boss would say mandatory overtime. If you don’t like it go somewhere else.. kudos to you sir! I’d love to buy you a few cold snacks and shake your hand! Keep up the good work!

A lot of people dont realize how important a land fill is until this stuff happens. Thanks for helping out guys.

The camera on the front of that compactor really shows how steep that slope is

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you talking to your guys to get their input and your consideration of not burning them out when it comes to overtime. I worked for decades in an overtime-rich environment, and our senior management didn't care. Well done. Loved the mobile home part, those pieces looked like they were floating. It also brought a tear to my eye thinking about what that family lost.

the only sad thing is that was once somebody's home at one time, now gone forever, hope that they can make a fresh start.

If you’d have asked me a year ago if I’ve ever watched any vids about landfills, I’d have said why would I want to do that. Well here we are 😆 Love the content!

We had a landfill in the family business was fun running over stuff going from 3 feet to nothing cause a 32 ton machine does a lot of damage had a couple companies would haul in bundle of brand new lumber and windows and doors said cheaper to get rid of then figure in on next jobs they would sell that to people a friend of my dad's built a new house out of the landfill was fun then 40years later they put a salvage yard on the property and a concrete parking lot showed we must of compacted right so that is why I like watching mr digg we also had a sand and gravel company some things in common but laws and regulations have changed so glad im retired just going through here telling people how to do there jobs lol mr digg has a lot of good people working for him and he is one hell of a boss always involved and a rod and his brother are a good and knowledge able to have around everyone have a happy Thanksgiving and bless you all

Am I the only one who would rather watch a machine pushing stuff at a tip site than wade through a ghastly junk movie made in Hollywood?

@paulharvey1947 1 year ago (edited)

Every time I see something like this home coming apart at the dump with all of those personal/sentimental item left inside is heartbreaking.

In 150+ years as archaeologist sift through all of these dump sites, the things they will find and try to understand how we used the stuff or come across a picture of a family and wonder who they are and what became of them and their family members through to their present time.

I remember reading where they dug up some bones and were able get DNA and after comparing that DNA to what was on file, they were able to find someone with matching DNA within 100 miles and those bones were well over 500 years old. Can't imagine being able to meet an ancestor, even if just bones, from 50 years ago, 500+ years. Crazy
