Im knew here, and recently officially diagnosed. One thing I like about your channel (and how I found you) is that you take time for educational purposes. In a word of vague yet overly technical medical websites, and more entertainment oriented tiktok, its nice to not feel alone and have a better understanding of myself from someone who also has tourettes. Thank you for what you do!

Dystonic tics are also the bane of my existence omg. Even if they somehow manage not to be painful and disruptive to whatever activity I was doing in that moment, for some reason my premonitory urge for them is SO strong, it just becomes all I can think about. I prefer the ones that just make me a little twitchy lol.

I've had this since I was 16 and I'm now 24. I've spent so many nights crying not knowing what's wrong with me. Thinking about a brain tumour, ALS, MS, all of that. I've wished so many times that I'd wake up and never have them again, drinking alcohol to get through school presentations so I don't tic. I thought I was completely alone all my life. This makes me so happy watching you.

I found you …. Well long story…. But I am 62 female. Diagnosed about 24 years ago. Now I know I have dystonic tics. The doctors told me I had TS but I later discovered the dystonic. I love your personality. Keep on being you. And I have a thing about frogs. Well, I used to. Had to do with the ex-boyfriend. Ribbit

New viewer here. After a particularly fkn awful tic attack last night, I decided to do some research & finally know that the bane of my fkn existence are called dystonic tics! My Tourette's really isn't that bad, but sometimes... It's the fkn worst for no goddamn reason, lolol. Ended up having nearly non-stop dystonic tics, peppered w/ the usuals, for 4 hrs because of PMS & a bad night's sleep. 🙃
