Update (May 26, 2022): First week of the video. Glad you enjoy it. Thanks for the many views in first week! However, it's not a new animation so I don't expect a LOT more of views actually. Also, this is just for people who wanted a remaster, the original animation got millions already. :) I rarely make videos now, I'm very busy and mostly prefer drawing. Perhaps some time again. I don't prioritize these stuffs anymore so don't expect much.

Btw, Maverick Hunter X/Day of Sigma is a reboot not part of the original X timeline but despite that I want it included on this fan re-imagining. The use of Unlimited X potential (shining hands) to Awakened Zero would be a unique and fun idea. It can make the animation distinctive.

It's nice that even though I included X6 weapons/armors on an X5 battle people are pretty cool about it. :) Anyway this is just a fan re-imagining of X vs Zero. I was thinking of replacing the X6 weapons/armors into X1-X5 weapons but looking back at the comments, the 2010 animation became nostalgic! If I do that, the changes would be a lot, it could mess with nostalgia. I better keep it that way. However, I may still do an alternate version without the X6 stuffs.

The Nova Strike buzzsaw complete with X’s howl of sheer fury is fucking immaculate.

5:45 X goes through his entire set of armors and weapons from the PS1 era, and yet the moment that gives me goosebumps is when he starts throwing hands with no armor at all.

JUST RECREATED IT!?  Your work is already amazing but that you've become so comfortable that you can speak so lightly of the work it had to have taken is just incredible! The original has always been one of my favorite tributes of all times and you made it so much better and that's not even taking into account that you just REDID the whole thing. I guess what I'm getting at is that your work is amazing.

It's been literally over half a decade, and the small moment of X besting and sparing Zero still hits.

2:20 Zero shoots three shots, rather than two.
3:28 Zero's Kuuenzan splits X's shot into two, rather than four.
3:54 The blasts during the Ride Armor segment were redone, going from translucent blue rays to bright masses of energy.
4:00 The screen no longer lights up as X charges his Giga Attack, and the blasts now have yellow cores in addition to the other visual changes. (Thanks, Thunder Knight)
4:55 The fire wave in Burn Dinorex's stage is shown being blocked by the terrain.
5:16 Ultimate Armor X enters with a Nova Strike, rather than punching Zero in the face.
5:28 A barrier forms whenever X's Nova Strike is blocked by Awakened Zero.
5:45 Unlimited Potential X's Buster Shots are blue from the start, instead of being green at first then turning blue near the end.
6:00 Zero appears to use Shin Messenkou here, when in the original, the attack seemed to be Rekkoha. It may have been intended to be Shin Messenkou from the start.


Those were all of the major differences I could see, ignoring the HD graphics, new audio, and voice clips.

I don't have the original files anymore so I recreated it. Hope you will enjoy this! :D

I just love how you can see the most replayed moments now and everyone agrees 5:44 is just perfection.

2:28 Fun Fact: this move is an instant kill used IF you don't beat Awakened Zero in 2 minutes, just some more motivation to get the good ending.

The part with X screaming Zero's name trying to get him to snap out of it before he has to put him down. Purely heart breaking

That was absurdly unexpected but a fantastic surprise.

4:40 hes spot on. Zero. Their very brains, created by humans, are their very weakness. the going maverick thing is so cool because its just them becoming more human...and it comes as no surprise. anything humans make has a flaw to it.

Nostalgia rushing through my veins as I remember my childhood playing Megaman X on my PSP

The original animation was breathtakingly intense. But the added sound design and visual flair here elevates it even further.

Hearing X scream Zero's name while trying to literally knock some sense into him so he doesn't have to kill him got tears out of me.

It’s been so many years but I never noticed X spares Zero at the end, which is how the latter was able to cut off his arm.

I love your old animations to death. The dynamic high-speed action, the musical timing, the integration of story elements and flashbacks and character dialogues... it really enhances a simple sprite battle into a dramatic finale worthy of the best anime!
