I played a GK backline at a show once after using AMPEG for 10 years. That tone changed everything for me.
I've been Rocking my GK rigs ever since and it helps that GK office is 30 minutes away from me.

mounted 'reflex', plus' 2 face mounted tens, from Gracins' - hempstead NY---------it was standing
next to an SVT . Freddie let me a/b them, the GK won. He was raving about the GK (both rigs were 880 bucks

My first amp I bought cash back in 1993 was a GK 400RB. Played it for many years it was a tough little amp. Sold it to a guy running a rehearsal and he still has it there. .GK built to last

I had the GK 400 RB first and now have a used 800RB from the 90s and use it and the new Legacy 800 . The 800 RB is still my favorite. It hasn’t been made since 2012 when they stopped making it. Maybe GK will make a modern version soon.

My RB800 was my favorite solid state amp. Warmest sounding EQ and enough power to push 4 15” EVs all night.

I have a January 87 made GK400RB I got as a hand me down when a friend got sponsored by Orange. It has become my #1 head over SWR & Eden and sounds unparalleled.

My 800 RB will never leave my side. I have Bi-amped since it was new. 2x10 with a 15 underneath. Totally amazing! I had a 400RB with a Traynor YC 610 before that and loved it and now I also have a MB 200 for rehearsals with my Eden 1-12. Love them all !

Since the 80's, I have played various different GK amp models, but I was never able to get a tone that matched my needs. I respect the brand for what it is, but it's not for me.
