"As Captain of the Holy Knights you're under arrest."
"Behold, the power of an angel!"
"Out of my silght."
"NO! Not yet, I'M NOT FINISHED!"
An NPC is my favorite character. DMC 4 was the only installment that I ever owned. Credo was and still is my favorite character. My childhood BFF is a MASSIVE DMC fan and he told me when the game was new: "You'll love this character, he's definitely your style."
He was right, I fricking adore that character he's soo flipping cool! I wish he was playable.
I'm just gonna say it. If Capcom decided to make a Devil May Cry to where you can select every (GOOD) boss battle that we love and just let you fight them with infinite health or whatever modifiers that there are because we just can't get enough of them. If they did that then Capcom would be playing with every Angelo boss till our hearts content. Heck it'd be cool to be able to make custom squads of enemies. That would just be bliss.
Man Credo is so underrated, devs did him dirty. I mean he did his job in the plot (not much in fact) and died a very beautiful and dramatic death, but the way he received his mortal wound was very lame. I mean damn, he just flew there, struck that old fart, but somehow Sanctus didn't really cared and stabbed Credo in the back, no fight at all pretty much and all Credo did is just kinda killed himself. And not like he said something that important to Dante and Trish anyways. Also why the hell Dante\Trish didn't cared to save Nero and Credo earlier grrrhh. Even when Credo died Trish and Dante were like "heh whatever" for the most part, and ffs even Nero and Kyrie didn't remembered him at the end of the game - in fact, zero mention of Credo in any way after his death. Well, at least there was just one pretty emotional mention of him in DMC 5. Also dying off just one stab is pretty lame considering Credo had Angelo powers to withstand such - remember Arkham?
Credo is fucking cool, he gave us the best boss fight in the game (Dante? Nah second place) with an amazing music, and his human\angelo design are both amazing, also the voice acting! He is kinda like Nero's Vergil but actually a good guy, just very strict. He adopted Nero, regarded his as a brother, tought him swordsmanship, got him into the Order of the Sword, tolerated Nero's brash attitude... Credo is pretty much if not the most, but one of the most noble characters in the series. He even died transforming into beautiful light!
If only Credo lived and we had him playable, or a least a supportive character. Also imagine him fighting demons in DMC 5 in his Angelo form, imagine the duel against Cavaliere Angelo for example :(. Damn talk about wasted potential.
