What's really happening in our rural areas? We head to La Souterraine, a town of 5,000 inhabitants in the heart of the Creuse region, for an on-the-ground look at the little-known realities of rural France.

From vandalism to healthcare workers' vehicles and a growing sense of insecurity to declining businesses and shelters, this report gives a voice to local residents, shopkeepers, and workers. Why is crime gaining ground even in the quietest areas of the country? An investigation into a daily life of contrasts, between historical heritage and social upheaval.
