Gary is a national treasure. Such a hugely underrated presenter

I'm not a cyclist, never have been, but I can't begin to imagine a summer without the tour,  without Gary Imlach and the team it just won't be the same, i got interested in le tour back in the ch4 days, Gary has always been one of, if not the most,
competent, professional, incite-full, basically just the best sports anchor/commentators that I've ever seen,
but a massive, huge thank you and "Chapeau" to Gary, David, Phil and Ned, and the whole team for decades of enjoyment, no one, no channel could ever replace you guys, truly the end of an era, sadness........

Yet another TV classic goes behind a paywall. Sad to lose the ITV coverage of the Tour

Thanks to all involved at ITV for the superb coverage of The Tour over the years. Summer will never be the same again. 😢

My entire Tour de France history includes you guys.. thank you for everything

As a Dutchman who’s been living in the United Kingdom for 30 years these 3 weeks always are the highlight of the year. Grew up on it watching it with my dad and living over here on the telephone with my dad talking the Tour. Lost him 5 years ago and now I’m losing my ITV family. Such a passionate bunch. Thanks for everything .

Still cannot believe you will not be with us next year. Those three weeks I shared with you every July are truly something I looked forward to all year. I have other options for watching the Tour but I always chose the ITV coverage. Simply the best. I am as sad as you are and you will be sorely missed. Thank you for everything.

This will be my last TdF too because I cannot contemplate watching it without this group of amazing people. The ITV cycling crew put heart & soul into this race,  I recorded it & watched the full version followed by the highlights every day after work. Their knowledge is second to none & I'm heartbroken that this amazing journey has come to an end. I'm holding out hope that they get together & start a YouTube channel that I can watch. I simply cannot believe that @ITV have axed the TdF coverage, they obviously are the living embodiment of knowing the price of everything but the value of nothing.  Thank you, thank you for producing the most amazing coverage, you will be missed. 😢

<3 Gary Imlach has been presenting the Tour for almost as long as I've been watching it, from the Channel 4 days. Truly the end of an era and an extremely big loss to UK cycling

Gary’s voice as soon as you hear it,you know it’s going to be a professional, informative broadcast, extremely sad news for all British cycling enthusiasts, money is the roots of all evil, sorry I forgot to mention Ned,how could I forget Ned,another voice that draws my attention whenever I hear it,

Gary imlach has been an amazing presenter for 40 years and the voice of cycling along with phil ligget, thank you to all channel 4 and ITV for giving me a life long passion for this wonderful sport,
Moments I'll never forget ❤

Thank you to everyone at ITV and Channel 4. Just wonderful!

Every year I watch the three Grand Tours, and the ITV coverage of the TdF is by far, and without a doubt, superior to any other channels coverage.  I typically only watch the highlights package at 7pm, but it is a programme I can watch with everyone as it's not just about the racing of that day.  There's the little commercial break quiz, all the segments on TdF related stories, personalities, and locations, the great pre and post race interviews, and of course the fabulous commentary.  This is something the other channels coverage can't or won't replicate and so this is a sad day to say goodbye to the ITV TdF coverage.  Thank you to everyone involved at ITV that brought us such wonderful coverage over the years.  I will remember huddling around the TV at 7pm as much as I will remember the amazing moments the TdF brings us every year.   Chapeau ITV TdF team.

I can't believe this year's was the last. The ITV4 (and C4) coverage had been a highlight of my year for many years. The teams huge knowledge and brilliant commentary  has made it essential viewing. Thank you to everyone involved for the hours of entertainment, not sure what I'm going to do next year, it just won't be the same.

Gary you absolute legend
Thanks for everything
You absolute inspiration

Lads no reason to stop!!!! You set up a YouTube channel and we will come!!! In the words from Field of dreams "build it and they will come" its not the same without you guys please please please set up a YouTube channel we all need your passion and professional approach 😢

The tour goes on as it must, but a great Imlach sized, unfillable crater has just been dug in the UK summer of sport.

That hug from Cav at the end - says everything about Cav and about how your coverage has been exceptional and appreciated. Shoulders back and walk tall boys.

So sad to see them go. I love Ned and Dave, but Gary Imlach for me epitomises the Tour, growing up watching him on Channel 4 and then ITV, sad to see the free to air live coverage end.

Not just the best cycling coverage on tv, but the best sports coverage on tv. This programme was everything I love about cycling, and I feel as though I’ve lost touch with a group of friends. You made the race, you made the summer and the contribution to British cycling is so immense…nearly every British winner cites watching the tdf as a kid on itv. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🚴🏻
