This video looks at the new Tectrans II battery from CATL, it offer a 15 year warranty and can propel trucks for 1000 km. This could seriously disrupt the trucking industry, with the economics of electric trucking starting to make the transition happen faster than expected.

Their website linked above says "The TECTRANS II battery for heavy-duty trucks is engineered for a 12-year, 1.5-million-kilometer service life with 70% capacity retention". So not 15 years and not really a warranty.

I worked in the computer industry in Quality Control and there was a term “Killer Defect”. It is a defect that would replicate unseen in the entire production line. When they were encountered we would have to determine why the automated QC was not catching it. We would then incorporate these defects into our QC testing.

Comparing to the Northvolt failure..... Good work Peter Carlsson. But I guess he wasnt alone at fault. Seems to be planned the same way with Stegra.
A lot of salty comments. I do not understand why. Was very interesting to see CATL production facilities in Germany.
